After
having trouble sleeping at night I simply took a Tylenol Night-Time before going to bed last night. The end result
was that I slept all night but woke up feeling like a Drunken Sailor. A quick remedy to that was that hot cup of Coffee that we finished at our Computers.
We
were out the door shortly after 10:30 with a short list of things we needed to
do. The Car ran like a charm and we
were soon arriving at a You-Do-It Car Wash that we had never been to with the plans
to wash the Car before giving it to
Tyler. Not having any change in my pocket, I was surprised by a sign on their
machine that informed you before making the purchase that their machine only
sold Tokens that only their machines
would take. Probably to stop night time Vandalism
of the machines. Not wanting to tie up our money on something like that we made
our next stop at Guardian Storage to pick up what little Mail that we had.
Since
we were now close enough we stopped at the Credit
Union and picked up a roll of
Loonies. By doing so would allow us to wash the Car and to use the rest for future Laundry.
Having
had only a Muffin and Coffee for breakfast we decided to stop
at Wendy’s where we ate off the Value Menu. We each had a Chicken Wrap, Small Chocolate Frosty and Seniors
Beverage for $7.20 for the both
of us. Satisfying but not overfilling.
We
arrived at Rose City Ford just before noon where we had to wait a
few minutes for our Salesman to
finish with another customer. We didn’t mind the wait inside their Air-Conditioned Building because the Humidex was already up to 115 F (46 C) at that time. It took nearly an hour to sign all the
paperwork and for him to show us all the changes to the Electronics on the Dash.
Heading
towards Tecumseh we stopped at another You-Do-It Car Wash that accepted cash. I managed to
thoroughly scrub down the Car, rinse
it off and apply the spray on wax for only $6.00.
When
we arrived at Karen’s we were surprised that Tyler was at his Summer Job and Greg was off work
because of the Canada Day Weekend. With changes to the Licensing System in Ontario it takes nearly a year for New Drivers to be fully license so the Car will be put in Greg’s name until it can be transferred to
Tyler.
Since
this was a used vehicle they only put a Quarter
Tank of Gasoline so we stopped at the Pioneer gas station to top-off the
tank. That will give us a better idea of our actual Fuel Mileage.
Our
next stop was at Canadian Tire where we picked up a few things to personalize
and protect our new investment.
Wanting
to see how it performed we drove out to our son Kevin’s in Amherstburg. With the extreme heat Kevin was actually cooling down
inside when we arrived but that didn’t stop him from coming outside to see our
new vehicle. He was amazed how the manufactures pack everything into such tight
spaces.
Later
at Home Kathy made some Pulled Pork Sandwiches for supper with Blackberry covered Yogurt for
dessert. We also watched a romantic comedy called Forces Of Nature. The perfect movie for us to watch on our Anniversary. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
