Sleeping In and Making A Deal.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

One of the Side-Effects of Sleep Apnea is occasional Insomnia which means that you spend most of the night when you are supposed to be sleeping awake and then you sleep later in the morning. Kathy is recovering from her Eye Surgery so she has a legitimate excuse but for me the Insomnia Side-Effect Three Nights in a row has become a frustration.

It was after 9:00 when we sat down for a lite breakfast this morning, only having a Muffin and a Coffee. Even that little time changed how I scheduled Kathy’s Eyedrops, meaning they all had to be later. We did our usual Computer Reading but then Kathy wandered to a different site. The next thing we knew we were making a Phone Call that had us scrambling for the door heading for Windsor.

We suddenly scheduled a few stops in order to keep our timing in tact but it was also past noon and our Lite Breakfast was long gone so we stopped at Wendy’s where we ordered off the Value Menu and both ate lunch for $7.19. We each had a Chicken Wrap, a small Chocolate Frosty and a Senior’s Soft Drink.

Our next stop was Guardian Storage to pick up our Mail. There was nothing there the other day but we hit the Jackpot today.

As you know we recently had problems with both our vehicles and there would be more repairs needed on the Car. Since it is a 2004 and low to the ground which makes it hard for us to get in and out Kathy has been secretly looking around On-Line even when we were down in Arizona. This morning she found a Low-Mileage 2015 Escape SE at a Reasonable Price at Rose City Ford. We did some bargaining and while the Salesman was running our offer by his Boss, I was putting Kathy’s Eyedrops in that I had brought with me.  By 2:00 this afternoon we were approved to pick it up on Saturday which already holds a special meaning, it’ll be our Anniversary.

We stopped at the East-End Canadian Tire Store where I had our Empty Propane Tank refilled. Then we drove to Karen’s house in Tecumseh where we planned on speaking to Greg but visited with Sanford instead. We were just about to head for Home when Greg called my Cell Phone. He said that he’d talk to Karen tonight and get back to us.

Back Home at Wildwood Golf and RV Park we were really starting to feel hungry and Lightheaded so while I got the Weber warming up Kathy pulled the Store-Bought Chicken Marasigan Pizza out of the Freezer. By using a Pizza Stone and leaving the Weber on High it was ready to serve in Twenty Minutes. It was Delicious and just the right size for the Two of us.

I collected the Garbage and we walked over to the Trash and Recycle Area giving us a little exercise. We watched another Walmart Movie this evening which kept us entertained. Tomorrow we have more errands to take care of. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  2. Congratulations on your new car. I chose my Honda CRX for the very same reason Kathy wanted the Escape. It's easy to get in and out of. I had an easier time getting in the high truck than I did getting into one of my kids' low cars. The truck had no bells and whistles; my car doesn't need a key to start and has so many gadgets I laugh. Some I love and some I scratch my head about.

I get a bout of insomnia every now and then, and it upsets my whole next day. Last night, Bogey would not settle down because he heard some kind of animal in the back yard and he is obsessed with getting out when that happens. I finally yelled at him to settle down or he was going to find himself downstairs. I don't think he understood what I actually said, but he understood my tone.

  3. If we ever get a car (rather than the pick up), one of the most important things will be whether we can get in and out of it. Congrats on finding a good deal.

  4. First Happy Anniversary to you both.

I have the insomnia. Leonard has the sleep apnea that gives me the insomnia. Before he got his Cpac I was awake awaiting for him to breathe again. Now the sound of the machine can keep me awake. I know, I know, there is no pleasing me.
