Happy Father’s Day, 113 Humidex and Keeping Cool.

Kathy and I hope that all our Male Readers were able to enjoy a Happy Father’s Day today.

Even though we had the Air Conditioner working all night because of the high Humidex it wasn’t as comfortable as when we sleep with the Windows and Vents open. I kept waking periodically so that meant I slept until 8:00 this morning.

When it came time to put Kathy’s Eye Drops in today she was much more relaxed making it much easier to apply. If she keeps this up she might be doing them herself.

With the Humidex forecasted to reach 113 F (45 C) we didn’t plan any outside activities, but that was fine because it meant I was inside to receive all the Father’s Day wishes from our Family, Friends and Blog Readers.

Being closed up inside even though the weather looks beautiful starts giving one Cabin Fever so after Kathy’s 1:00 Eye Drops we headed out the door. The Car’s AC had a hard time lowering the Temperature but it was still better than being outside. 

Our destination was Walmart in Amherstburg. We only had a few things on our Shopping List but we could walk around in Air-Conditioned comfort. Kathy managed to find another button up Blouse that will be very important to avoid hitting her eyes when changing her clothes after the Surgery.

We were back Home by 4:30 and waited until after her next round of Eye Drops before starting supper. While Kathy made a nice Caesar’s Salad and mixed Fruit Dish for dessert I was under the shade of the Gazebo grilling up a couple of Hot Dogs for supper.
