I was awake for some time before finally getting out of bed at 8:00 this morning. It was the sound of the Air Conditioner that had roused me and we will be looking forward to the Temperature going down later today. I must have made a little more noise than usual because Kathy was downstairs before I could finish getting things ready for our breakfast.

With our Coffees at the Computers we managed to get very little reading in before being cutoff from the Internet completely. We checked to find over Twenty Wireless WiFi Connections in our area. We have better luck when there are fewer people On-Line.

At 9:00 I was able to call my aunt Anna to wish her a Happy Birthday. Since we only talked a few times while we were away last winter, making an appointment for our next visit was another thing of importance for her.

After our second Lite Meal of the day we were off to do some errands in Amherstburg. Our first stop was at Pharma Choice drug store. With Kathy’s Cataract Surgery coming up we wanted to have the Eye Drops on hand before they are actually needed. Once they had that Prescription to fill I had questions about my own. When we had them refilled at the end of April they only Dispensed 80 Capsules of the allowable 90 which is a Three-Month Supply. Looking on the Computer at the way my Medications were dispensed last fall they put 100 in one Vial and 80 in another. When I called back in April the Assistant saw the last Dispensed as 80 and simply refilled it to that amount. They’ll make up the difference on the next refill.

The next stop was Walmart where I needed some lighter-weight Pajamas for summer, Kathy also needed Slip-on Shoes for when she has her surgery, a Swimming Mask that we’ll both be using for showers after our Surgeries along with some Dry Goods in the grocery section.

With the Memory Stick in my pocket we thought that we would make a quick stop at our son Kevin’s house to work on his Computer but when we arrived he was gone. Guess we’ll have to wait until Wednesday evening after all.

When we got Home the Humidex was only 97 F (36 C) so Kathy worked on her Computer making more Data Entries in our Expenditure Spreadsheet.

With all the Rain we have gotten lately the Grass has been really growing. This week also saw a lot of Wind that covered our Patio with Maple Seeds. It didn’t take long to cut and trim the Grass then to blow off the Patio. Some of our Potted Plants needed watering because they don’t retain the Rain like those planted in the ground.

Once inside I needed to cool down and Kathy was having a problem with the Spreadsheet. Computers never make mistakes, do they? Right! It was an easy fix because it is the same problem I’ve dealt with for years. Looking outside we had a lite Rain falling for a few minutes.

Kathy made a delicious Chicken Garden Salad with Tomatoes, Olives and Cheese. If we continue we might have to go shopping for smaller clothes.

Once the Dishes were washed and put away we sat down to watch another movie we bought at Walmart in Parker Arizona. Our Over-the-Air Television is very limited just like our Mifi but we’ll work on them both.

Moments ago we were able to shut the AC and open the Windows since the temperatures will be in the moderate range for the next week. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  2. That warm with rain? Totally different than the temps here. We're up into the 90's, but no rain. It surely must make your garden happy!

  3. Looks like you are all set for the cataract surgery, Kathy. After it was recommended to have a shower I also used my diving mask (without the snorkel) but let me tell you, it's a challenge to wash your hair with that strap around the head. They let all of us patients keep our shoes on during surgery. I took a chocolate bar along which I ate in the car driving back home since it had been over 24 hours since my last meal and I was famished. The juice and cookies they give you afterwards did nothing for me ;-)
