When I turned The Weather Network on the Computer
at 8:00 this morning I thought there had to be some kind of mistake but
when I cracked open the door to feel the 102
F (39 C) Humidex any doubts were dashed from my mind.
We weren’t in any rush so I took care of
phone calls and just relaxed making certain that Kathy’s Eye Drops were applied on schedule and attempting to do our On-Line Banking. As soon as I tried to Log-In, their Computer locked our accounts. Did we just hit the Lottery for rotten luck or did they
really make a Lemon out of this New Operating System?
The only appointment we had on the Calendar for today was for myself at
4:00 but by 12:30 the Denturists Office was calling to see about
coming in early. That put a whole new spin on what we would be doing.
We were on our way to Windsor shortly after 1:30. By that
time the Humidex was only reading 111 F (44 C) so we didn’t plan on any long walks outside. Our first stop
was the Canadian
Post Office Distribution Center so
Kathy could mail off her Medic Alert Information.
We next stopped at Guardian Storage where Kathy stayed in the Car while I went inside to find our Mailbox completely empty.
We arrived at the Denturist Office shortly after 2:00 which gave me time to get the Paperwork filled in. Growing up during
the times we did, if we had a Cavity our parents just had it removed rather
then repaired and since my Dentures
are well worn down and causing problems it was time to see what could be done.
It was like shopping for a Car with
prices varying from a Cadillac to a Volkswagen and costing nearly as
much as the later. With all the extra expenses we’ve had this year they might
have to wait a while longer.
Our next stop was back to the Credit Union where Ashley was able to Unlock our accounts and showed us how to avoid any future problems.
Since Kathy is not supposed to eat after Midnight and it was after 4:30 we went
to East Side
Mario’s where we both ordered a Chicken Primavera. When our orders
arrived the first thing we did was divide them in Half to take Home
for another meal this week. We had figured the Pasta would fill us up and take away any cravings for snacking.
Even at this late hour we are not the least bit hungry but we don’t think it
was just the Pasta.
It was shortly after 5:00 when we arrived
at our daughter Rose’s house. Since Rose will be away this summer Training Cadets we had to get together
to celebrate D.J.’s birthday early. We also had a chance to talk while we
enjoyed a small piece of Birthday Cake
that had been picked up for this Impromptu
Celebration.
It was past 7:00 when we heading Home
but we needed to make a stop at the Zehrs Super Store to
get a few more groceries. With her Eye Surgery
tomorrow Kathy won’t want to be shopping for a while.
Continuing on our way Home there were flashes of Lightning off in the distance and the
sky was black from the Clouds but
the Heavy Rain is just now starting as
I write the Blog. Thanks to everyone’s
encouragement to Kathy for her Surgery.
Thanks
for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
