We had a hard time telling
when the Sunset actually occurred
last night because of the heavy cloud covering but there was a benefit. Those same
clouds acted as an Insulation that
helped to keep yesterday’s Warm Temperatures
from getting too cold overnight.
I was up by 7:30 and it was
still 59 F (15 C) outside at the time. There was still enough of a North breeze
that you didn’t see too many people walking without their Jackets. The temperature would improve slightly but throughout the
day if you were in the breeze you would feel the chill.
After we finished our normal
morning routine, Breakfast and
reading at the Computers, Kathy started
doing some cooking. She made meals that will only need to be heated and will
used in the next few days.
I had my own chores
completed before trying a different test on our Weboost. Anyone that knows Electricity knows that there is a Feed (+ Positive) wire and a Return
(- Negative) wire. The
only time both lines meet is at a Motor,
Bulb, Element or Electronic Device
that it is connected to. After disconnecting the Power Cord that came with the unit I did a Resistance Test. The problem was not when each line indicated a Resistance but when I was getting a Resistance when the probes were on opposite
wires. What would cause that to happen I can only guess. Checking the 12 Volt Outlet for Power in the cabinet indicated none.
My next chore was calling
Stephanie at Leisure
Trailer Sales back in Lakeshore.
The last time I called she had been away on Vacation. She wasn’t too happy to hear that we were experiencing
additional problems. The problem with the Propane
could be a Faulty Automatic Regulator,
Rust in the Flue or it could be a Defective Control Card in the Fridge. As long as we can keep it running
they will check it over when we get back in the spring.
I went outside and started
getting things ready to dump our tanks for the first time this fall since we’ve
been “Off the Grid” and the first
time ever using the Macerator. I had
every thing in place, Barrel in the back
of the Truck, Macerator in line and connected. I was just about to start when
Kathy called me for lunch.
Kathy had made a Mini-Feast, consisting of a Cup of Soup, a Spinach Salad and Blackberry
covered Yogurt. It was all Tasty, Filling and Healthy.
There’s those three words in the same sentence again.
Outside I learned first hand
by using the Macerator to empty our Tanks that @#$# can flow uphill without a problem.
It was a lot different then pulling a Blue
Boy behind the Truck and when it
came to emptying the barrel it was done in flash with the simple pull of the Valve Handle.
After a few ATVs went tearing by our spot raising
all kinds of Dust yesterday both Kathy
and I seemed to have Congestion Issues.
Since the Sun had managed to penetrate
the Clouds earlier today, Kathy and I
sat outside with a hot cup of Tea
watching the show as it set.
In response to a question
about our Unlimited Plan with Verizon.
We needed to get the SIM Card
replaced in our MiFi at a Verizon Dealer.
When you are on any plan Verizon will notify you via E-Mail as you approach
your limit. When we reached our limit, the connection was slowed to the point
it was Impossible to see our E-mail Alerting about our usage. We are
both cautious to not overuse our Data
so either Verizon was speeding up
the meter or someone else had Hacked into
our MiFi. We had an International Plan that would allow us
to use it in Canada
rather then using our Turbo Hub. We had noticed each time we turned
it on there were large increases in our Data
Usage and mentioned it to the Representative.
Now it’s costing us less then the International
Plan and we can still use it in Canada.
Tomorrow we have a few
errands to run so who knows what else we’ll be getting ourselves into. Thanks for following along, feel free to
leave a comment and click on the pictures to enlarge them. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Every faucet in your home is permanently dripping.
Rick, it looks like the Gremlins are at work in your RV again. It can be a nuisance when you have to fix things that should be working fine. Regardless, enjoy where you are and make the best of the situation. Life is a constant challenge. I'll be following to see what's next :-)
ReplyDeleteOur rigs issues have been handled (we hope) at the manufacturer up in Indiana. We have to pick it up so we can inspect it. They are expecting heavy snow today. It can sit there! Hoping you have no where near the problems we have had on a new fifthwheel.
ReplyDeleteAt least you are able to fix most any problem. Hope the ghosties leave you alone soon!!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures of the sunset. I especially liked the last one.
