Finally Getting Settled In.

Our Location today is La Posa South L.T.V.A., Quartzsite, Arizona, U.S.A.

For the second night in a row I spent more time awake then I did sleeping. Kathy’s head hadn’t even hit her pillow and she was asleep.

I was up just before 8:00 this morning and managed to have all the Window Shades raised and readied most everything that was needed for breakfast. Since we had both agreed that we wanted to get some things accomplished around the Trailer today when the clock neared 8:30 I turned the stove on to make our morning Coffee. The noise of the ignitor on the stove was like an Alarm to Kathy and she was soon joining me downstairs.
We always refer to this as the Sleeping Giant.
Our breakfast was lite so we got an early start on the Computers getting caught up on our reading. Because I still have not been able to completely fix our Internet Problem we have to take turns checking what we need. When one of us is taking care of chores the other would be On-Line

By 10:30 I was outside finally uncovering the Barrels and Tandem Bicycle from the Bicycle Carrier. Surprisingly not a thing had moved and was just as secure as before we left McGregor back in November. An hour later Kathy called me in for lunch.
This will look better once we get our Storage Skirt.
It was comfortable outside in the Sun but if you stepped into the breeze it felt quite chilly. The Vegetable Beef Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches helped to warm us up.

After lunch I assembled our Mast and TV Antenna, ran the Coaxial Cable inside and even hooked it to the back of the Television. I went back outside to install our new Wind Sock and I also mounted the new Weboost Antenna before coming off the roof. Once the Weboost itself is working properly all our problems will be resolved.
Two Antennas and a Wind Sock at the ladder.
Kathy had been busy inside Vacuuming the Trailer. Anyone that has been Boondocking in the Desert knows just how dirty things can get inside their RVs. Trying to help that situation out I used the Stiff Rake to level off some of the higher piles of stone before staking our Mat down. That will lessen the amount of dirt that we’ll track in.
Kathy enjoyed sitting in the sun.
With her housework done Kathy came outside to relax but as soon as she saw the larger stones that I had taken from under our Mat she started adding them to our Firepit. Even though we have our Firewood and a sturdy Firepit with the strong winds we’ve been having we’ll just have to wait before having our first Campfire here in the desert.
Kathy rebuilt our Firepit.
For supper while I grilled some All Beef Hotdogs on the Weber Kathy was inside getting the Buns and Sides ready.

With less then 10 Hours between Sunrise and Sunset we make use of the evening by researching things On-Line when we can get connected. I’ve managed to find a replacement Phone for Kathy but not sure that is Verizon or AT&T compatible.

It’s been nice reading that our friends Tom and Deb from the blog Celebrating the Dance will soon be heading our way from Michigan’s U.P. Now they just have to watch not to run into any Winter Storms. Even Al and Kelly from Travelwith the Bayfield Bunch will soon be getting a late start to their Winter Travels. We’ll be keeping track of them and praying they have Safe Travels

Hard to believe that we have already been here a week. With all the running we’ve had to do it didn’t feel like it. Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but we are looking forward to another day in the southwest. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment and click on the pictures to enlarge them. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
