Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
It seems that we are finally
getting in to a routine where we are actually sleeping soundly at night and
then waking at a decent hour in the morning. We were both up around 8:00 this
morning and as we had breakfast the discussion turned to what we wanted to get
done today. Looking out at the totally cloud covered sky I had to say that I was
“hoping to get some wood staining done
today”. As usual we finished our morning Coffee/Tea while getting caught up on our morning reading on the Computers.
It was while reading the Gypsy Journal RV Travel Newspaper that it really
hit home of just how fortunate we are and why we feel that we made the right
decision about being Fulltime RVers
while our health still allows us to do so. We have followed Nick and Terry
Russell’s adventures for over ten years now and when you read that someone’s 35 year old daughter might not survive can be scary. Many miracles have happened
through the simple act of Prayer so
if you can Tiffany really needs
everyone’s Prayers to help her pull
through this challenge in her life.
Kathy wanted to clean the
inside of our
Home from top to bottom today so starting
in our bedroom that’s what she did. As stated earlier keeping an eye on the
clouds I set up a plastic tarp on our Picnic
Table and started staining all the
Faces and Supports that I produced
for our Cabinet Modifications on the
Table Saw at our son Kevin’s Home about two weeks ago. Wearing disposable gloves so
I wouldn’t stain my hands I still could only do three sides on each of the
four dozen pieces there were to do. With only a handful of pieces yet to do I had
to ask Kathy to wait a few minutes when she called me in for lunch.
Salad and the
leftover Man-Wich hit the spot for
lunch along with another cup of Coffee.
Before I went back outside Kathy needed my assistance at moving our easy chairs
so she could clean behind them. Again before I left she found a couple of quick
repairs that needed to be done all caused from towing our Home
across the continent.
Since the wood stain was
still Tacky due to the high Humidity I drove back to the Park Office to see if they had gotten an answer about where
to bring the pile of Clay that is
now in the back of the truck. Darlene had just stepped out of the office for the
day so the young lady taking her place wasn’t able to give me an answer. We’ll
have to try again tomorrow.
Arriving back Home
I noticed the grass has really been growing and since we were both working on
the Flowerbed when the Grass Cutters came around the last time
they just skipped our site. That didn’t bother me because they have a habit of
cutting it too short in the Hot Weather
which leaves you with brown grass. It took all of ten minutes to Cut and Trim our site using our Battery-Powered
Black & Decker Mower/Trimmer. The grass looks manicured and is a lush Green.
I went inside to cool off
and give Kathy a hand at putting the furniture back in place. As we talked about
what else we needed accomplish Kathy started checking our accounts but couldn’t
get On-Line. I tried all kinds of
things, rebooting the Modem, Router and Kathy’s Computer with no luck. After trying my Computer we found that it to have the same problem. A quick call to
Cable 1 where Chris told me they were replacing the
system in the Park
and it would be up and running soon.
Instead of wasting our time
Kathy started doing her Entrees in
our Expenditure Spreadsheet while I went
back outside to finish staining the last side of the Faces and Supports. By
this time the Sun was finally out in
full force so I was hoping that it would dry before too long.
For supper Kathy made Macaroni and Cheese while I grilled a couple of Hotdogs on the Weber. We
were finally able to get On-Line after
the 6 o’clock News was over and get
caught up on our research. I put away the Stained
Wood just before the Sun set. Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
