Wet Day Of Appointments and Lite-Headedness.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Somewhere today I read an article that stated the way to improve the quality of your sleep is to have a reason to get up the next morning. The problem I normally have with that way of thinking is that I will dream of doing that task to the point that it keeps me awake most of the night and leaves me feeling drained.

I had just gotten comfortable in bed last night and as my eyes started to get heavy when I remembered we had to be up at a specific time and we hadn’t set the Alarm Clock. Disconnecting myself from my CPAP Machine I made my way to the dresser where I couldn’t feel the alarm on top. Not wanting to turn the light on that might wake Kathy I recalled the last time it was used was before the move from our old site which meant it had been stored for travel. Starting at the top I quietly opened the drawers and felt the top contents finally getting lucky on the fourth try. Sneaking down to the kitchen to use the lamp under the cabinet the alarm was set and I went back to bed.

Kathy actually woke ten minutes before the alarm was set to go off and thought that we had missed setting it. It’s amazing what one’s subconscious can do. For most of my career I never used an alarm but now that I’m retired it’s the only way to guaranty that I’ll wake on time. Since we had little time to spare this morning we only had an Orange Juice and Muffin for breakfast.

We were on our way to our Family Dentist Office in Amherstburg by 8:45 and the sky was extremely threatening. Since our Dentist Sean was away on a Much-Needed Vacation Kathy needed to see one of his associates. Part of a Tooth Cap she had for over Forty Years had broken off on Saturday leaving her tooth very sensitive. After checking the tooth and taking X-rays the best that could be done today was to put a sealing compound on the tooth to protect the nerve. She’ll have to go back when Sean is back to replace the Cap on her tooth.
Just before the Rain started.
As we left the office we started getting a lite rain. We made a few stops Dollarama, Walmart and Dollar-Tree looking for things we will need before the end of the month. Kathy was starting to feel Lite-Headed and didn’t realize what was happening. It was already past 11:00 when we arrived at McDonalds for an early lunch. Minutes after eating her Chicken Nuggets her world stopped spinning and we were on our way Home.

Since it was still raining when we got Home we took the time to do the morning reading that we had missed earlier. By 1:30 we were on our way to Windsor this time for an appointment for myself.

We managed to get a parking spot in the front lot so Kathy stayed with the car to possibly do some reading. Even though the specialist was running late (As Most Are) he was able to determine that I was in no eminent danger and to call him directly when the condition returns.

We drove to Guardian Storage to find our Mailbox once again MT. Driving to the Pioneer Gas Station we topped off on Gasoline for the car. We next went up to the Shoppers Drug Mart where we got started picking up the assortment of Vitamins that will help to keep us healthy. All the Vitamins that were picked up today will be needed the next time I fill our Pill Doucettes but they were also On Sale which saved us some cash. If someone tells you it’s not expensive to be healthy they should have seen our bill. We’ll repeat this process before we leave for the Southwest in the fall so as “Not to Break the Bank” until we have our full supply while we are away.

Kathy’s head was once again spinning so when I pointed out that it had been over five hours since her early lunch she was shocked. We stopped at Wendy’s where we both had a Full-Sized Salad for supper and once again her world felt more solid.

The rain finally stopped by the time we got Home in time to watch the 6 o’clock News. Checking out Rain Gauge this evening we received only Three Quarters of an Inch of Rain today. There’s more Hot, Wet, Humid Weather heading our way but there is a lot we plan to accomplish when we can.  We are both tired and ready to go to Bed. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  2. You guys need to keep a closer eye on when it's time to eat. I have to do that for Jim because of his diabetes. He's terrible about keeping on top of it so it's my job to nag him.
