Our Location today is Quartzsite,
Arizona, U.S.A.
Slowly we are making
changes that are helping us in our effort to live comfortably when the
temperature decides to dip down on the cold side. Kathy gets to sleep
moderately warm while I need to be toasty and that is all done with the use of
blankets and how they are put on the bed. The fact that yesterday’s rain kept a
slight but steady rhythm on our roof last night was like a message that kept
repeating itself that whatever we had to do outside could wait and to turn over
and go back to sleep.
I slept in until nearly
7:30 MST this morning and after
opening the blinds was surprise to see Fog
enveloping most of the area. We couldn’t see the mountains, nor the traffic
on the road for that matter. This made it feel more depressing than yesterday’s
cloud covered day. When Kathy got up shortly after 8:00 the sun tried breaking through
the clouds but only managed less then a minute before being blocked from sight
for the entire day. With a light drizzle falling throughout the morning we were
in no hurry to do anything outside so we stayed at the computers a bit longer
than normal. We really needed to do just that so the weather was actually a
blessing in disguise.
For less than a minute we saw the Sun today. |
On Tuesday Night’s Blog Post, I relayed the message of the Third Annual Blogger-Fest with a copy
of the Flyer on our post. Last night
since I was running out of time to post I forgot to include it. This morning I added
it temporarily to our Sidebar so that everyone can see it. If you are a Blogger, Follower or occasional Reader
and are in the La
Posa South LTVA near Quartzsite
on January 28th 2017 just after 1:00 stop in and get to know the people behind the Blogs.
After accomplishing the
normal morning chores, I got things lined up for what would definitely take
most of the afternoon to accomplish. Kathy made a well-balance lunch with Soup, some Fruit and Cookies. It
worked for us.
More rain this afternoon. |
While Kathy washed the dishes,
I organized myself at the Dining Room
Table to do our Pill Doucettes. I’ve
mentioned before that when I did them every Saturday Evening we had a hard time to go anywhere. I later started
doing multiple weeks and went from just over an hour for one week’s worth of
pills to ninety minutes for three weeks worth of pills but it was still on Saturday
night. I now do six and a half weeks worth of pills in less than two and a half
hours. The best part is I am not always refilling our Doucettes on Saturday evenings.
Just as I was closing up
shop from that chore UPS finally delivered my new Credit Card. Looking at the Address on
the inside mailing envelope it was not the fault of UPS for this Mix-Up. The first thing after the table was all cleaned off was to
call and activate this card. I’d no sooner finished that when Kathy was having
trouble while making an Online payment. We left a message with the Credit Union but since it was so late I’ll try again in the
morning to get it straightened around.
With the damp, miserable
looking weather Kathy was starting to suffer a bad case of Cabin Fever and just needed to get out. We first drove by the Vendors Area but they were all battened
down and many of them closed because of the weather. As we drove through town
we could see large pools of Standing
Water in some of the Washes.

I suggested eating out so
we tried the Times
Three Family Restaurant as our
choice for supper since we haven’t eaten there yet. Their Thursday Special was Spare
Ribs the same as the Main Street Eatery. This place is slightly
larger, their food was just as good, prices and service the same but we just
like the Main
Street Eatery better.

It was getting dark by the
time we got Home
and with the dampness in the air we immediately turned on our Electric Fireplace to take the chill
out of the air.
Since we’ve left McGregor
other than the time we were in Nashville we have had little time to enjoy
ourselves or do any exploring on this trip. With the sun expected to greet us
for breakfast we might just do that tomorrow and save some of that work for
between the Holidays.
We also have a Birthday Greeting to
get out tomorrow so we’ll just wait and see how the day turns out. Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
