Summer’s Here.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Boy will Kathy be glad when she can start taking her arthritis medication again. The pain actually woke her up around 5:00 this morning so she had to take an Extra Strength Tylenol so she could fall back to sleep for a while. I slept the whole night until 9:00 this morning and felt like I could have slept longer.
Watching the Weather Channel while we had our breakfast we were surprised that above our expected high temperature for the next few days they were also showing a Heat Index that  would make it feel much warmer. Those predictions have been made numerous times recently but we always had a breeze that helped to make it feel cooler. By mid afternoon there was no breeze and it was getting uncomfortable in the apartment so we finally had to turn on our Air Conditioner. We’ll leave it on until Thursday because of all the storms they are forecasting for this week. Tomorrow’s Heat Index is predicted to reach 100F (38C).
Besides the usual blog reading and E-mails we both spent time researching things on the computer today. When Kathy went to have a Snap this afternoon I started back at cleaning out files on the hard drive and managed to clear out over five more gigabytes of duplicated pictures. I wonder what was causing my computer to run so slow? Duh!
For supper I fired up our Weber-Q 120 on the balcony and barbecued a couple of hamburgers while Kathy sauted some nice Asparagus Spears to go with it. We are continuing to watch our food intake since we returned from Florida and have managed to lose a combined weight of nearly twenty pounds in less than a month.
We went over to our daughter Karen’s after supper for our Sunday night visit. Karen and Greg had been busy working outside all day and just couldn’t seem to cool down with all the windows in the house open. When we told them about how high the Heat Index was it didn’t take them long to turn on their Air Conditioner and start closing their windows in an attempt to cool the house down. We didn’t stay too long because of Kathy’s arthritic discomfort and dropped our grandson Tyler off his buddy’s house on our way back to the apartment.
With the uncomfortable weather predicted for the next few days we haven’t any idea of what we’ll be up to but we’ll find something. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
