Errands and Visiting.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

It seems that Kathy and I are on a see-saw. One night I sleep while she’s awake most of the night and then the next night I’m awake most of the night while she’s asleep. So last night I got to sleep while Kathy woke up very tired this morning.

After breakfast we had a chance to read our morning blogs we follow and I got back to work on the spreadsheet that I’m working on for Kathy until just after 10:30. We had to go pick up Tyler at school to bring him for a follow up appointment at the hospital. At the end of March after getting home from winter break in St. Petersburg, Florida he was outside running as most kids his age are doing when he got a severe pain in his left foot. When the pain got worse Karen and Greg brought him to the emergency at Metropolitan Hospital where they were told he’d broken a bone in his foot.
Tyler eating his lunch in the back seat of the truck.
For the last six weeks Tyler who is normally very active in sports has been restricted from running. Today when he asked the doctor at the fracture clinic if he could start running again he wasn’t happy. The doctor told him that the bone was only freshly healed and he needed to give it additional healing time or it would break again and he could end up with a cast through the summer if he didn’t take it easy.
Looking closely you can see the green buds of spring on the trees.
We hadn’t eaten since breakfast so we stopped at the golden arches where we had a hamburger and Tyler topped off his lunch he’d eaten in the truck with an Oreo McFlurry. Since it was after 2:00 we just brought him home where he planned on doing his homework and studying for a test he’s having at school tomorrow.

Kathy and I came back to the apartment where we continued working on our prospective projects. I finally finished the spreadsheet while Kathy got into further researching. I got caught up on my midday reading before we headed out to do more errands. One of our errands included stopping at Swiss Chalet for supper and the best part was we had another gift card we’d gotten as a Christmas gift. The food was excellent as usual.
Being that it was Wednesday we headed out to Amherstburg to visit with our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa. They had put out a small spread of goodies including a Rhubarb upside down cake for us to snack on using the excuse it was to celebrate our birthdays so we all indulged ourselves a bit tonight without overdoing it. Our visit made us feel like we hadn’t even been gone for the winter months and the conversation just kept flowing until we needed to head for home.
Tomorrow we have other plans with a side trip to pick up my laptop. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

Did you hear about the robbers who fell in the sea?

They started a crime wave.
