Something really strange happened last night. Kathy and I both had a decent night of sleep. I was still up shortly after 7:30 and Kathy actually slept until after 8:00 this morning. After a simple breakfast of toast and coffee we did our morning routine of reading blogs and E-mail on the computers.
A trip with Bill and Vera through South Dakota last summer. |
We arrived fifteen minutes early to a nearly empty parking lot but were surprise to see people already leaving carrying take home food boxes. We were enjoying the light breeze that helped us keep comfortable from the rays of the sun. When Bill and Vera arrived they were apologetic about being stopped by a train for nearly ten minutes on Jefferson Blvd.

Once we were back at the apartment Kathy went back to her research while I returned to cleaning out more duplicate pictures until it was time for supper. Since we had eaten a filling meal at lunch Kathy and I decided to have a bowl of soup for supper. We talked of our lunch time visit with Bill and Vera as we ate to make our meal last a little longer. Just as we were finishing up the phone rang and it was our daughter Karen. She had forgotten to invite us for hamburgers for supper tonight and Greg was just cooking them on the grill.
Sunday evenings is our normal weekly visit time with Karen’s family so we just had to leave earlier than planned. The bonus was enjoying a wonderfully tasty hamburger with onion rings and beautifully mixed salad. After an enjoyable visit and some play time with Sanford we headed for home.

Why is it difficult to open a piano?
Because all the keys are inside.
