As mentioned in yesterday’s Blog we had winds gusting above the Twenty MPH mark. Even though the Wind seemed to calm a bit towards the evening after we went to bed there were a few times that the Wind rattled our bedroom Slide Topper that it partially woke me. That didn’t stop me from being awake minutes after 7:30 MST this morning. Since Kathy needs more sleep then I do she managed to get an extra Half Hour more sleep. When asked if she heard the Wind her response was “she slept like a rock and didn’t hear a thing.”
It's difficult to see the Mountains through the Dust.
Looking outside through our open Window Shades it didn’t matter in which direction you were looking it was hard to make out the outline of the mountains from all the Dust that still hung in the air. That’s a sure sign that the Wind was blowing most of the night.

The Weather Network and the Local Weather Forecasters are showing that we’re getting back to more seasonal temperatures so with a cooler start to the day we were in no hurry to head out. Instead we enjoyed our morning Coffee/Tea while getting our morning reading done on the Computers.

It was close to 11:00 when one of the “A” Class Motorhomes that parked behind us the other day pulled out. Minutes later the “Overnighter” parked within a Hundred Feet of our front door also decided to leave.

Kathy wanted something different for lunch today so after slicing up a piece of Cheddar Cheese she made Grilled Cheese Sandwiches that went with our Salad and Yogurt Cups.

I was outside shortly after noon to install the last of Solar Powered LED String Lights on our Antenna Mast. Having done the upper section yesterday and working in a bent over position due to the Wind my back was in too much pain to finish. Today I managed to fasten the Solar Panel to the upper portion of the Trailer Ladder while standing on it. Then I simply wound the String Lights around the Mast until I was able to stand on the Step Ladder to complete the task. The entire installation today lasted approximately Thirty Minutes.

Just as I finished putting the Ladder away I heard a familiar voice calling me. Our neighbour Wayne came over for a little chat but after standing there for an Hour my back stared bothering me so I pulled out our Camp Chairs so we were both comfortable. Both Wayne and I worked in Manufacturing so we swapped stories of things we experienced. He finally headed home around 3:30.

For supper I grilled a couple of Hamburgers while Kathy served up some Cottage Cheese and made a couple of Sponge-Cupcake Fruit Cups for dessert.

Having read something in Dave and Cheryl’s blog Our View From Here the other day I wanted to share some information with them. Walking over to their site I explained what I had read and what I do so as to save them possible future problems. They were in the process of grilling their supper so I didn’t stay long. They’ll stop by this week before they leave so I can show Dave what I meant.
Last Night's Picture.
Only half the Mast was done.
We watched the 6 o’clock News and by the time it was over when I went to take a picture of the Antenna Mast it was really dark. The lights show up much better but since the Moon wasn’t visible the Trailer wouldn’t show in the picture.
Mast completed tonight.
Without the Moon it's hard to see the Trailer.
We have a short errand to run tomorrow then I hope to scratch another project off my list. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. With all that dust in the air looks like that's not a place to be if you have allergies.

  2. Glad the winds have subsided some for y'all. Ours were gone yesterday morning, picked up in the afternoon. Your meals look so good! The mast is beautiful all lit up like that, great job!

  5. That lit mast sure is an easy landmark if you come home after dark. Great idea, and cheap too. Win, win.

  7. The lights look really nice. It sounds like all of Arizona is getting wind. We are parked out on Ogilby Road and we could really see it tonight as the sun set. Some rain to tap it down a little would be nice.
