More Clarifying and Chores.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

It was strange that while Kathy and I researched the information we shared on our blog last night that Hazel herself seemed to have found the same thing on a different site. Kathy and I do file our 8840’s as do other Fulltimers with the I.R.S. and will continue doing so as long as we are travelling in the US for the time allowed. Prior to our going south for the 2014-15 winter season we had booked to attend an RV Dreams Reunion Rally that was slated to take place in North Carolina at the end of May. It was in January while we were away that we first heard of the newly implemented 30 Day Rule. When we returned home at the end of April to the time we returned to the US in May was only 27 days so it was counted as if we had never left the US and we had to count those days against our total for the year. Beware of the 30 Day Rule! Keep track of the dates you leave and the dates you return by keeping border crossing receipts as proof.  It will come in handy when you make out your 8840 form or if asked by the border guards for proof. Receipt for fee crossing receipt at the bridge or tunnel or gas receipt at the Duty-Free. We have a small book that Kathy keeps that information in and keeps it with us when crossing the border. It makes life a lot less stressful.

The other issue we are having is that the Header Picture is no longer centered after we change the layout of our blog. Following the step by step instructions that Paul and Marsha left in a comment everything went well until I opened the tab Add CSS. That was when I was faced by an empty box that would not accept any entries to be made. I retried Editing HMLT but none of the changes I attempted made any difference.
These are only some of the attendees for the 1st Reunion.
This morning when we got up the ground was once again white which is not very inviting for either of us to be outside. That meant that this would become a chore day. Kathy busied herself preparing our next 8840 forms to be submitted to the I.R.S. before getting caught up on some of her bookkeeping that she was forced to become a little lax on while we dealt with her old laptop’s demise. My chore was the constant in everyone’s life whether a Fulltimer, Snowbird, home owner or apartment dweller the laundry. Today included doing the bed linens as well as our clothes. It seemed I had the laundry room to myself so other than waiting for the machines to go through their cycles everything flowed flawlessly including the machines unlike the last time.

Around 3:30 this afternoon UPS arrived to deliver the latest article we ordered this week online that we’ll be using at our site when we move to Wildwood Golf and RV Park. Now if the other things we ordered early last week would show up we’d be all set.

Since we stayed home this past winter in order to get everything ready for our Fulltiming Adventure it seems we get Cabin Fever very easy. Something as simple as staying in the building has us finding any reason we can to go out. Looking outside and seeing the snow nearly melted off most of the vehicles in the parking lot was one good excuse but when we realized this was Friday it meant we had to go out for Fish and Chips at the Michigan Dinner on Manning Road. Two more reasons are they are close by and as far as we are concerned they make the best Fish and Chips in the area. It was an enjoyable evening with Kathy and the dinner was delicious. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
