Packed and Ready to Roll.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Even though this would have been the perfect day to sleep in I was up before 7:30 and Kathy awake before 8:00. Yes the temperature was cooler than yesterday but with the bright sunshine leaking around the window drapes it was hard to resist the call of the sun. After having breakfast we did take the time to do our morning blog reading.
The ground is dryer but still muddy by the trailer.
By 9:30 I was downstairs retrieving a shopping cart by the back service door and brought it into the apartment to load. After loading the Weber Q on the lower rack and the two clothes baskets on the top I took our first load down to the truck. The temp made me appreciate the fact that I was wearing my jacket and yet when the breeze increased it seemed like it wasn’t enough. When I’d gotten back upstairs Kathy had already packed the insulated shopping bags we have with all the condiments and allowable food stocks that we’ll be bringing with us across the International Border.

Now it was time to have a bowl of soup in an attempt to shake the chill from our bodies. That was to be our last meal in the apartment until our return. While I reloaded the shopping cart Kathy washed the few dishes we’d dirtied today and we were ready to head out. By the time the truck was loaded you’d have thought we were moving. Kathy said in a sense we are from our stationary home to our home on wheels.
Clothes and food filled our backseat.

Before going to the trailer we stopped at VitalAire to pick up our six month supplies for our CPAP machines. Luckily when we arrived our orders were all ready for us and we simply had to sign on the dotted line and we were good to go. Fortunately it is covered by our Health Care Provider.

When we arrived at the trailer we were surprised that there was still plenty of mud on the door side of the trailer. Yesterday the sun never made an appearance and with the cool damp breeze the ground just didn’t dry. After I brought the clothes baskets in Kathy busied herself putting the clothes away and taking stock of what we still needed to bring.

I had supplies that also needed to be put away in the lower compartments before making the last of the repairs to the trailer. Once that was finished it was a matter of putting my tools away where they belonged and cleaning the debris from the closet repair.
Tools and debris that had to be cleaned up.
We needed to make a number of stops so I chose to go to Walker Road because of all the new business developments that has happened there lately. Kathy wanted to stop at a Party Store so she walked across the parking lot while I was at Home Depot. I had some unused materials to return and then I went to the Dollar Store to find a card holder to use while we are in the US. With all those stores being so close we accomplished everything in less than fifteen minutes and were on our way home.

Since it was early we stopped in to visit with Bill and Vera at their new place of business. Vera was out running errands so Bill gave us a tour. When Vera arrived we returned to the office and spent the next half hour visiting. With lots of hugs and handshakes we left with both of them wishing us safe travels and a promise to get together when we return.

It was only 4:30 when we stopped at Wendy’s for supper. Since we had coupons and Kathy needs to fast after 9:00 tonight we each had a full sized salad for our last meal of the day. Kathy has her yearly physical in the morning and once she is done there we’ll be having breakfast before hooking up the trailer and heading towards North Carolina. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
