Packing Up Again.

Our Location today is Venice, Florida.

Once again we were up so early this morning that I managed to get even more sunrise pictures. Then we spoiled ourselves by enjoying Strawberries on our cereal for breakfast again. The Weather forecast called for bright sunny skies with 84 F (28 C) for a high. After finishing our morning reading we had to do what everyone always dreads having to do Chores.

My first chore after making the bed was sorting the clothes and doing the laundry. When I started walking down the street I was shocked to see many sites that had already been vacated that were still occupied yesterday. When I got to the laundry room there was no waiting to use any of the machines. Once everything was in the wash I busied myself with a couple more of my number puzzles. After changing things over to the dryers I headed back to the trailer to drop some things off.

Kathy had just finished making the Wreath for our apartment door. She had picked up the materials for it the other day when we had gone to Hobby Lobby. She had been so engrossed in her project she didn’t realize that it was nearly lunch time. Within a couple of minutes Kathy had put together some Egg Salad Sandwiches to tide us over until supper.

Back in the laundry room I check the clothes in the dryers and still found them damp. Leaving the dryers run till they stopped had everything nicely dried. I was surprised that there were no folding tables in the laundry area so I was right next to the social room and nobody else was there I just used a dining table to fold our clothes on.
Back at the trailer Kathy had finished vacuuming and cleaning and was on the phone finalizing our reservations back at Sugarloaf Key KOA for next March. She has now made all our reservations for next winter’s trip to Florida for the months of January, February and March.

Once I’d put my share of the laundry away I tried calling Verizon as they still haven’t given us our rebate that we’re owed. Both James and Chris the manager were busy but promised to call back. That never happened and when I later called after supper I expressed that I’d hate to have to detour back to Inverness to get this straightened. I was told they’d call tomorrow.

The rest of the afternoon was spent packing things away and flushing the tanks so we can be on the road early tomorrow morning. We have an appointment back at Ard’s in Winter Haven to have a little fine tuning done on our Storage Skirt before we head further north.
For supper grilled Steak and Sweet Potatoes on the Weber.
Many of the blogs we’ve been reading have been commenting on the mass Exodus of Snowbirds heading north for home. We’ll be taking our time but eventually no matter what the weather we do have to go back home. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

Michael Scott (during an International Business Customs conference): Did you know that in Morocco, it is common to exchange a small gift when meeting somebody for the first time? In Japan, you must always commit suicide to avoid embarrassment. In Italy, you must always wash your hands after going to the bathroom. This is considered to be polite.

  1. You have reservations for next winter?
We don't have a clue where we will be until we get there the majority of the time.
    Have fun.

  2. I never make reservations, but then I dry camp, so it's easy. I've been having strawberries and blueberries on my cereal for a while, too - sooo good! :)
