Family Gathering.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

This has got to stop! The sleeping in I mean. This is the third morning in a row that when I look at the clock it reads 6:45 then my eyes blink and it was past 8:30. I know we were in no hurry to go anywhere but like the Duke would have said “you’re burning daylight!”
Sanford licking his lips in anticipation of eating a chew bone Kathy gave him.
We had a very light breakfast because our morning would be very laid back. For lunch we also kept it light with a bowl of Taco Soup. All that would sound like the start of a weight reduction program but it wasn’t. We were saving room for the best meal of the day.
Grandson Tyler practicing Lacrosse with a friend.
Shortly before 1:00 we went over to our daughter Karen’s to help prepare our families Early Easter Dinner. With help from the kids she had gotten the ham into the oven and they already had peeled the Sweet Potatoes. Being this was a Saturday Greg had to be at work in the plant.

The first thing I did was to set up the long table that is used for serving the different food dishes from. Then with help from our grandson Tyler we set up the card table and chairs for the kids to eat at. Now it was time to start peeling potatoes.
Kylla with boyfriend Noah.
Even though Karen is supposed to not be working in her kitchen at this time in her recovery she insisted on being there to tell us where things were located and to operate her fancy new stove for us. Finally just that caught up to her and she needed to lay down to get rid of a headache brought on by just trying to think.
Kylla caught me mashing the potatoes.
Shortly after 3:30 Greg arrived home from work just around the time I was mashing the potatoes. Just about on schedule all the invited guests started arriving with their contributions to the meal just before 4:00 and within minutes everyone was enjoying the meal.

After a very short pause to clear dirty dishes out came the desserts. Some desserts were the tried and true plus Melissa made a Chocolate Éclair Cake that was a big hit. After some social time everyone started to leave taking leftovers that will feed each family with another meal.
Granddaughter Kylla and Kathy.
Kathy and I were the last to leave and we were highly thanked for the help we put in getting things ready for this meal. It was our pleasure and that’s what families do.

Kathy and I would like to wish all our readers and their families a Happy and Blessed Easter. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

Who Are You on the Chessboard of Work? Bishops: These are slippery SOBs. They move diagonally. They operate on the office gossip and make excellent evil whisperers. They have friends in high places. These are players. They don't have all the juice, but they have enough to make pawns and rooks lives absolutely miserable. They like to screw with people's careers just to make themselves feel better. These are extreme hangers-on, who have direct access and who can really muck things up when they want to. Normally they are only mediocre at their jobs.
