Bouncing Around.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Yes things are really getting back to normal around here. I did manage to get at least four hours of sleep last night. When I woke up this morning the sun hadn’t made its appearance yet but it was time to put my back in an upright position. The outdoor thermometer corresponded with the temperature on the Weather Channel and that was how cold it was when we headed south back in December.

I had nearly finished reading my E-mail and morning blogs when Kathy got up at 7:30. Shortly after finishing breakfast we continued working on the computers until we headed out the door shortly after 9:30.

We had scheduled our spring haircuts for today back in December before we headed south and we marked it on our calendar. Since we were early Jen was able to take one of us before our appointed time because someone else had booked a 10:30 appointment. That still shaved nearly a half hour off the time that we would have been there otherwise things would have gotten tight as we had still another appointment to get to when we were finished. Even though our haircuts down south were decent Jen really had to work to get our haircuts back the way we always have them.

We arrived at Wendy’s down the street shortly after 11:00 for an early lunch. We chose to have the half size salad meal with a drink combo as we are trying to shed a few pounds.

Shortly before 12:00 we were at our accountants getting our tax returns, Remember last Thursday when Kathy had gone through all our mail collected while we were gone looking for tax receipts and we had dropped it off at our accountants later that day. Kathy organizes our returns so well before we bring them in that the accountants are finished within a couple of hours. Unfortunately they were closed for a four day weekend so they called yesterday for us to come in today.

For supper tonight we finally got a chance to enjoy some of the Split Pea and Ham soup that Kathy made yesterday. It did taste better than the sample taste we had yesterday because the flavors had melded together while it sat in the fridge.

As soon as the dishes were washed we headed over to VitalAire. They had called to say my new mask that they didn’t have the other day was in and they closed at 5:00. With only minutes to spare after making that pick up we stopped at Home Depot for some supplies I need to make changes in our office.

This was Wednesday evening and we headed out to Amherstburg for our weekly visit with Kevin and Melissa. We were busy getting caught up on what the grandsons have been doing at school and how severe the winter really was for them. As usual we always have lots of fun and laughter making it a very enjoyable visit.

On the way home we had to pass through a nearby area that is undergoing major road changes through construction. We were really getting bounced around from the poor road conditions and we hardly recognized where we were at because of all the changes. Tomorrow is another busy day. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. You must be really good with keeping track of stuff! The fact that your accountants can work out your taxes in a couple of hours means that you guys are more than capable of making sure that every receipt is accounted for. This also helps in figuring out the right amount to be paid, and that any future auditing would be easy.
