Heaven.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

The fact that I have slept late every morning since our return is just amazing me. Before we left for Florida in December I could barely get a decent night’s sleep. While we were away I even had a few restless nights but mostly I was late to bed and early to rise. Now that we’ve returned I’m actually waking according to the amount of sleep that I’m getting. I can only hope this continues.

We took our time with breakfast and enjoying a perfect spring forecast for Easter Sunday. Next we settled in to reading on our computers before having an early but light lunch of some of the leftovers that Kathy had packed at the family celebration yesterday.

We don’t go to the movies often but since we didn’t have anything else planned for the day we thought we’d take in a Matinee. The movie we chose was “Heaven is Real” which was based on a true life experience. This happened to a minister’s 4 year old son and causes many people to dig deep into their emotions to understand what had taken place and to be able to accept it. The biggest thing was the disbelief and doubt from not only the professional Nah Sayers but family members as well.

For those that have their own personal doubts about their beliefs this is a movie that will answer your questions. Make sure you read the start of the credits. Kathy and I both gave it two thumbs up.

As we were leaving the theatre we were surprised that the rest of the Mall was closed. Only two restaurants with entrances outside the mall were open. Everywhere we looked the only businesses we saw open were restaurants. This is quite the change from years past.

Once we were back at the apartment I went upstairs for a visit with our neighbors Grant and Sandy. Grant and I had worked together for quite a number of years before he retired. It was nearly six months after we moved in that I found out they were living directly above us.

Just as I was knocking on their door they were having a crisis. Their grandchildren had been over for lunch and suddenly after they went home Grant and Sandy’s toilet stopped up. They had called the emergency repair number for the apartment complex but could only leave a message. I solved their problem by retrieving the plunger we have had since we owned our home on Hansen. After the emergency was taken care of we had a chance to visit and talk for a while.

For supper tonight we simply warmed up the last of the leftovers from yesterday’s Easter Celebration. Tomorrow will be a busy day that could take a lot of twists and turns. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  3. Sure feels good to help someone out, doesn't it? Thank you for the movie recommendation--movies have to make me think or laugh before I'll give them my hard-earned $$. Jim says he sleeps so good since he retired--I'm looking forward to that!

  5. Thanks for the movie review - that's one I have been wanting to see. My mother had a heart attack and was verified clinically dead in the hospital (YEARS ago). She would tell you that Heaven is real! I also want to see God's Not Dead.
