New Normal and Changes Happening.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

The new normal sleeping routine seems to have worked out for the last Two nights. It’s not much, but I’ll take every minute of sleep I can get. It beats Insomnia anytime.

I was up by 8:00 this morning but left Kathy sleeping in the Bedroom. She would later tell me, that she had trouble falling asleep, but when I finally moved from my Recliner to the Bed, she was sleeping. I believe, that it could have been the physical exertion of folding Laundry, that could have added to her Arthritic Pain, thus keeping her wake.

This was a strange day, because we were finally able to shut the Air Conditioner off, before going to bed last night. It was still cool inside the Apartment this morning, so I don’t believe that added to Kathy’s lack of sleep.

After we had breakfast, we were in no hurry to go anywhere, though I had figured that we’d be out later today.

I mentioned in yesterday’s Blog about Doctor’s Offices calling to remind us of appointments. I still had to confirm a couple this morning. With the Computerized Answering Systems that most Offices have today, it was simply a matter of pushing the proper numbers. As I was about to finish the second call today, another message caught my attention, they had a new location. I had call back in order to get a real person, to verify they had moved and to give me the new location. That was a move of Two Miles.

It was past 3:00 when we headed out the door. Today’s high was only 76 F (24.3 C) and with a light Northerly Breeze, it was very comfortable.

The first place we headed to was Guardian Storage to collect our Mail. I could see Melisa’s van next to the building that it was locked up. As we waited, she drove up on the Golf-Cart, that is used to monitor the yard. Seconds later I was being let in to get my Mail. Since we have dealt with Guardian Storage, their office has never been open on Weekends. Melisa informed me that enough customers have complained, that the only time they can do things (Paying Rental Fees) is on the weekend, so the Company has decided to try being open on Saturdays for the month of August. If it works out we might be getting our Mail on Saturdays instead.

The other day I was about to add Gasoline to the Car, but noticed the price had skyrocketed. On the way to the Storage Yard today, I noticed the price was again down. On the return, we stopped at the Pioneer gas station and topped off the Car. That should last us another month.

Knowing what food we had in our Fridge and Freezer, we were in no rush to go to the grocery store today. Instead we went to Dollarama, to pick up a number of food stocks that they have been Out-of-Stock for some time. The problem was not that they were Out-of-Stock, but the people putting them in other areas of the store.

That was enough shopping for the day, so we headed to Wendy’s to have supper. We are almost out of Coupons that help keep our costs down.

We needed to use our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart to bring everything up to the Apartment. It was also nice to see our Pantry Shelves restocked.

Later we watched a couple episodes of “Monk” before the “11 o’clock Local News” came on. It appears that we can expect a beautiful sunny week to start the month of August.
