Numbers, Some Good, Some.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Even after a rough night, only 5 Hours in bed, I managed to get up early enough to have a Shower before waking Kathy. Breakfast was Banana Slices on our Cereal before heading out the door.

It was a simple case of taking the fastest route to get there, so we headed down the Parkway to the Expressway before turning onto Howard Ave. Amazingly we only paused at One of the Twelve Traffic Lights, the rest had been Green.

That meant we arrived at the Canadian Blood Services building with time to spare. Kathy sat in the lounge area to read, which was better than sitting in the Car when the temperature was only 12 F (-11 C) and that did not include the Northwesterly Wind.

There were more of the Ladies that I recalled from the old location, but at the same time all the Loungers were occupied. The time I was early for my appointment, I spent visiting with Kathy. Right on time I was called in to the interview room. There, all the answers to today’s Questionnaire are reviewed. Verifying I’d had Surgery and had a Vaccine helps to speed things up. Since Canadians donate our Blood or Plasma, it eliminates those who want the money for a Fix. By the time I finished giving my 147th Donation, Kathy was talking with a Lounge Hostess Volunteer, that makes certain you have a Snack as well as a Refreshment before leaving. Since we were heading across the parking lot for lunch we didn’t have to stay.

Since this was the $7.00 Special Day at this Pita Pit location, the inside line up was to the door. Kathy found a clean table while I ordered and collected our food. We both enjoyed our Toasted Chicken Caesars Pitas. As I’ve said before, this is Healthy Fast Food.

From there we headed over to Guardian Storage to collect the little bit of Mail we had, before going to the Pioneer gas station to fill up the Car. We’ve been reading Blogs where RVers complain about paying $2.89 US Gallon for regular grade gasoline. Today we paid $1.60.9 Litre ($6.09 US Gallon).

Heading for home we drove along the Detroit River and could barely see any open water. All those Ice Flows were starting to pile up along the shore. Against her objections, I dropped Kathy at the front door so she wouldn’t be so cold. Lucky for me there was a Contractor’s Truck blocking some of the Wind at the rear entrance.

Checking the afternoon US News we were shocked to see pictures of the devastation cause by the Wildfires to hit California. Most of the problem in trying to fight it, is the High Winds some as high as a Hundred MPH that are creating a Blast Furnace Effect. Amazingly the Meteorologist claims the Winds are coming from the Arizona Desert, that cools down enough at night that the Wind is forced through the Ravines.

The 6 o’clock Local News showed more cold temperatures heading our way.

We shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Chicken Pizza for our late supper.

For entertainment this evening we watched “Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD”. They all held our interest.
