In response to Comments that we’ve received lately about my Neck Pain at night. I have been sleeping with a specialized Pillow for Twenty Years at this point. How I survived for most of those years was by doing Exercises that helped strengthen the Neck Muscles. Unfortunately, my Hip Replacement Surgeon restricted me from exercising, saying the internal pressure alone would affect how I healed. He finally gave me the go ahead, but unforeseen problems have delayed my return further. Hopefully, I’ll get back to the Gym shortly. My Family Doctor had X-Rays taken to see if I need more than Physical Therapy. We’ll hear the results at the beginning of February.

Too bad because this is still affecting my sleep. With the Cold Weather cooling our Apartment down, when I sat in my Recliner last night to sleep, I had to use one of our spare blankets to stay comfortable.

I was up by 8:00 this morning to a temperature of -2 F (-20 C) feeling like -20 F (-29 C). The temperature would remain on the frigid side past sunset this evening, before starting to slowly rise to more seasonal temps tomorrow.

We enjoyed Cereal for breakfast before taking our Hot Coffees to the Computers. When we finished them Twenty Minutes later, they were already cold.

I didn’t start making lunch until noon but it more than hit the spot. I made Toasted Fried Bacon/Egg and Cheese Sandwiches along with another Coffee. By the time we finished eating, the Coffee was again cold. Kathy is wearing a Jacket to keep warm inside the Apartment.

We waited until the 6 o’clock Local News was on before sharing a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium No-Name Pizza Supreme.

Once the Dishes were cleaned up we watched Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire” andChicago P.D.for entertainment tonight. Next week it looks like “Fire and P.D.” are joining together for a special episode.

Time to try to sleep.

  1. Rick, I'm wondering why you have mentioned a few times that Kathy had had to put her jacket on in the apartment because of the cold. What's up with your heat? Surely you have baseboard heating in there?
