Comment Answered and Ivan Called.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Tonight I’m going to start by answering a Comment from our Blog. I have been using a special Support Pillow for over Thirty Years due to on the job Neck Injuries. No matter what I am doing during waking hours, if I turn my head, all I hear is a grinding sound coming from my Neck. Occasionally, I have slept without it but that never lasted for very long. By simply sitting in a Reclined Position, it somehow takes the pressure off the Spinal Cord thus taking away the Pain I get from lying down in bed.

Strange as that may sound, I spent another Three Hours in my Recliner last night. Kathy and I have discussed this, and figure if it works go for it. When I get up even for a couple of minutes, she is patting my side of the bed. When I get back in bed, even if she is facing the other way, she turns to pat me down, before can relax herself enough to return to a more sound sleep.

I had everything ready to serve for breakfast and had been busy on my Computer, before Kathy woke from her extended sleep. As we enjoyed our Muffin and Banana she told me how she checked for me, all the time. We brought our Coffees to the Computers.

Not wanting to have the same meal too many times in a week, we had Italian Wedding Soup for lunch. We tried a different kind today and liked it far better than the Leading Brand. Nicer Flavour and more Meatballs in the mix.

I was able to check the On-Line TV Listing for our Local Television Shows. We have read Blogs of others watching different shows, but could not get them because we did not subscribe to the special channels. I was able to find Three that we have been trying to find and they were listed on channels we subscribe to.

With the temperature below the Freezing Mark and lite Flurries, we finally headed out, just to escape the confines of the Apartment. We realized we forgot about the Wind Gusts that made it feel even colder.

Our first stop was the Dollarama closest to where we live. Like the other location, they did not have everything we wanted, but they did have some. The beauty of shopping at these stores is they are far less expensive then the Grocery or Big Box stores. We got some walking exercise in and by not Overstocking, can go back multiple times a week.

It was past 4:30 and we were getting hungry but wanted something different. We headed to Arby’s where we enjoyed their Reuben Sandwiches. It also gave us time to talk to Wanda who has worked there for nearly Thirty Years. With some People Watching it brought back memories while other times you simply laugh.

Back at the Apartment we barely had our purchases put away, when I got a call from my friend and former co-worker Ivan. I’ve called a few times since we changed our Phone Carrier but since his phone didn’t recognize the number, he didn’t answer. Finally, I left a text days ago and Ivan’s son pointed it out to him tonight. He called immediately.

The New Owners of that business now have a full Maintenance Crew on staff and have been making all kinds of upgrades to the business. Ivan had thought about Retiring, but the new manager made him an offer that was too good to pass up. We’ll talk again soon now that he knows about my new display Number.

The 6 o’clock Local News reported quite a number of Fires that took place in Windsor on New Years Day. The causes ranged from Careless Smoking, Electrical, Unattended Cooking to Arson. The big News is that our Weather might be colder, but we won’t have the Accumulations the areas outside Essex County could see.

We watched the programs for the first time that I mentioned to you above, “Matlock” and “Elsbeth”. That’s the kind of intrigue we like to see on Television.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment, unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion, or is Spam.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
