Belated White Christmas.

It was unbelievable! As soon as our Blog was posted last night I headed off to bed. That Hour of Fresh Air I had yesterday while cleaning off our vehicles was exactly what I needed. I only recall rolling over Twice through the night and the next time I opened my eyes, it was 8:00 in the morning.

Even though Flurries filled the sky, the Sun was trying to break through. I was just getting in the Kitchen when Kathy followed me, feeling refreshed because I had stayed in bed the entire night.

With Plans for the day we kept breakfast to a Snack level so that we were out the door around 10:30. Luckily everything that had fallen this morning, was only a dusting.

Our first stop was the new Dollarama in Tecumseh to restock things like Juice, Brisk Iced Tea, Lemonade and a few household cleaning supplies.

It was nearly noon so we stopped at Wendy’s for lunch. We enjoyed their Grilled Chicken Wraps and Seniors Soft Drinks, for another lite meal.

The next thing we knew, we were heading down Manning Road heading for the town of Essex.

People celebrate Belated Birthdays, Anniversaries and a few other things, but this would be even more special, this would be a Belated Christmas Visit. Our Planned Visit during the Holidays was put on hold because of the Flu and our daughter-in-law Jen didn’t want us getting sick. Now, more than Two Weeks later it was finally going to happen.

We visited mostly with Jen but had the chance to finally deliver the Christmas Gifts we’ve had wrapped under the Christmas Tree, before the big day itself. Though it wasn’t much everyone had a chuckle and a smile on their faces when we finally left close to Three Hours later.

We’ve been wanting to have Chinese Food for a long time. Since we were just round the corner from A-1 Chinese Food in Essex, that was where we went. That was our first time since before Covid locked everything down. Since we were too early for the Buffet we ordered Lemon Chicken off the Menu. It was tasty and filling, but the bonus was that even with the Tip, it cost less than some of our recent fast food meals.

Heading back towards Tecumseh we were again caught in some Flurries. Heading down Riverside Drive, we had barely entered the city of Windsor when the Flurries intensified. By the time we carried our purchases into the building, we both look like a couple of Sxxwpeople. Inside our Apartment, we had to hang our coats up to dry.

We watched more reports on the California Fires before watching Olympus Has Fallen”. That had Kathy coaching the good guy, where the bad guys were.

We’ll be busy this week.
