Putting Things Off Until Tomorrow.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Since our Local Weather Guesser had mentioned Winter Weather was heading our way, before going to bed last night, I took another moment to look at The Weather Network. It didn’t look any different than yesterday’s forecast.

We had another rough night which was probably a blessing in disguise, because we slept in until 8:30. We had Planned on doing chores today but the moment I checked The Weather Network this morning it showed a big change in a Front, that had been forecasted to go north of our area. It showed that our landscape will be turning White starting early Friday. When that happens the Road Crews add a heavy dose of Salt to be certain the roads remain Ice-Free. Trying to make our vehicles last longer, we’ll try to avoid using them for a few days, but we needed supplies.

Our Local News Paper showed the State Funeral for President Jimmy Carter was going to take place this morning, so we turned on the Television and watched. The many Eulogies were sometimes filled with humour, while depicting a man of Faith willing to help everyone. Not often you see Five Living Presidents in the same building. Now the burial will be limited to “Family Only” in Georgia.

After lunch we took inventory of Food we needed to replenish, before double checking to see if the plane had landed yet. Instead the Network was showing the devastation from the Wild Fires in California. It resemble scenes from war torn areas of the world.

Our daughter called to be sure we were okay.

We waited until the height of Rush-Hour Traffic had passed before heading out the door. With little Wind it actually felt comfortable going outside.

It was past 5:30 so the first thing we did was to go to Harvey’s for supper. Kathy chose a Chicken Wrap, while I chose an Angus Burger. Being that this is a Canadian Brand, if you show your Auto Club Card, you save 25% on your meal. We saved over Seven Dollars.

Satisfied but not Stuffed we walked around the Zehr’s grocery store and got just what we needed.

With everything put away we were just on time to watch “Matlockthen “Law and Order”.

Now tomorrow we’ll watch the change in the landscape from inside, while doing today’s chore.
