It was strange that after taking my Nighttime Mickey and falling to sleep, that I spent most of the night trying to get back to sleep. It was like a bunch of Short Naps. The last time that happened, I was looking at the Clock and just decided to start my day early. It was only a few minutes later that Kathy joined me, which was a good thing.
I mentioned how the New Building Management Company, has been doing all kinds of upgrades since taking over. Yesterday we received a Notice (24 Hrs.) that they needed to install a connection for Electrical Meters in our Apartment. Though we are Grandfathered in to Free Electrical once the Meters are installed, all new Tenants will be required to pay for their own Electricity. Even if we did have to do that, the time we spent Fulltiming, taught us to be very frugal with our usage.
We
were already at the Computers
by 9:00,
when John the Building
Maintenance Man
knocked at the door. He verified that if we would not be here, he
would oversee the work. It wasn’t until 11:00
that one person came in to mark where holes would be cut to run the
wires. we’d had lunch before the Two
Person
Crew
came in to actually cut the holes. They didn’t even wear
Hearing
Protection
or wear Dust
Masks
while doing their task. We were both sitting there wearing our’s.
Nobody came in to add the necessary wiring, so we expect another
Notice
when they decide to do that.
I explained to Kathy all this was Unnecessary, because each Apartment has its own Electrical Feedline from the Electrical Room on each floor. The Meters could have been simply connected in the Electrical Rooms, without needing to cut all these holes (every Apartment) to run more wires.
It was past 5:00 when I started chopping Veggies for our Stir-Fry. Supper was Bacon/Cheddar/Veggie Wraps that we enjoyed while watching the 6 o’clock Local News. Everyone was still talking about yesterday’s Eclipse and some Local Photography Shops did great jobs of zooming in for close-up shots of the Solar Flares.
Though
we were happy we had the chance to witness this event,
we certainly did not get all Hyped-Up
like many seemed to do.
For children it was understandable, but some adults. (What
was in their Kool-Aid.
We’re setting the Alarm tonight, because we have Three Appointments filling our day tomorrow. Don’t they know we’re Retired?
