Unseen Notice and More Clarification.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

We had an up and down night. The reason I write it that way is, my bad nights transfer to Kathy having a restless night. When I finally woke, I just lay there looking at the Clock for Ten Minutes still too tired to get up.

That was until someone was knocking on our door. I didn’t open the Blinds or turn on the Lights, I was having trouble focusing on my surroundings. I looked through the Security Viewer to see Three People walking away. I heard Kathy asking if someone had been knocking.

I remembered that we did not leave the Apartment yesterday and had probably gotten a 24-Hour Notice. As soon as we were dressed I opened the door to find exactly that. It didn’t matter, we had things to do.

It’s been almost Two Weeks, so I had Laundry to do, while Kathy did other regular chores. After sorting everything I was on my way to the Laundry Room when I met the Dry-Waller that was coming to close up the holes made by the Electricians and Plumber over the last week. We spoke briefly and he would get to us in Thirty Minutes. On the Second Floor, I spoke to the same Plumber, who is working his way through the building.

I managed to get the Washers going before heading back to the Apartment. The only way to open those machines is when they are stopped, so we don’t worry about someone stealing our clothes.

The Dry-Waller showed up minutes after I did. He patched the holes, then added the first layer of filler. He claimed he’d be back in Two Hours.

After switching things over downstairs, we had lunch before I returned to start folding everything. Finally someone else was there to do the same. Back at the Apartment, I needed to sit for a bit before we put things away. It was past 4:00 when the Dry-Waller returned to finish the job. We’ll probably get another Notice next week.

A clarification about the Big Lake Book Series, we have all 24 Published Editions at this time with the latest one being Big Lake Accident, though others will be published. Nick often gets inspiration while out and about, then realizes where he can use that in his books. When he starts writing, he only concentrates on the book he is then visualizing.

Words of Inspiration

Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better to take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.”

  1. Neither our city nor county library carries the Nick Russell Big Lake series. And you had me all set to try a new-to-me author :(
