I
truly dislike that when I go to bed early I seemed to sleep later in
the morning then was planned. Yes we did it again. When we were
sitting having our Muffin
for breakfast Kathy asked what time I got up. She had to give her
head a shake when I said she got up at the same time as
me.
That meant we only needed to have a single cup of our morning
beverage to see us through until
lunch.
Yes it was that late.
With
most of my On-Line
reading and morning Chores
done
it was time to start making lunch. Wanting something slightly
different I remembered seeing what someone else had the other day
gave me a clue. While the Toast
were down I sliced the Bacon,
Cheese
and Tomatoes.
Kathy outdid herself by microwaving
Baked
Apples
for
dessert that she served along with Grapes
and Yogurt
Cups.
I felt like I waddled away from the table.
With
this being the First
of the month it was time to get the issue with Kathy being able to do
our On-Line
Banking
fixed. After calling the computerized call directory I was soon
talking to a live person. Once I explained the situation she
spoke to Kathy to have authorization to unlock the account. Then with
me back at the Computer
Five
Minutes later
I was saying
Thank You
and Kathy was On-Line
with her new password. Fifteen
Minutes later
Kathy had finished our banking.
The
first time we went to Quartzsite
Kathy and I met and became Friends
with Wayne from Washington
State.
It wasn’t until the day we were heading home that we met his
wife Sue.
We exchanged E-mail
Addresses
and kept in touch. The following year we ate Christmas
Dinner
at Families
Times Three Restaurant
along with having
a
number of Campfires
together.
Again we kept in touch through the summer and both Sue and Wayne were
reading our Blog.
That Fall
was when we had serious Mechanical
Problems
with the Truck
but even through all that and a little exploring on our part we still
managed to repeat the Christmas
Dinner
with them that year. The problems still continued and even
after the Mechanic
at the dealership in Yuma
made it worse it was Wayne who figured out the problem.
Since
I was still
working
last Fall
Kathy suggested we find an Apartment
and stay around for the Winter.
Little did we know that
I
had
been
hired for the particular job. (A
new way of doing business.)
Unfortunately we were not able to meet with Wayne and Sue even though
he
jokingly taunted us from Quartzsite.
Then the Coronavirus
struck and most of our Canadian
Snowbird Friends
had to get back to Canada.
At present it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Wayne and Sue
again this year but are looking forward to the day we can.
Today
was another of those E-mail
days with a Very
Good Friend.
Hopefully if not this year we will see them again in
the near future.
While
Kathy started reading a book I spent a bit more time on the Computer
letting lunch settle down before getting to working out. I only did a
Single
Set
of Double
Repetitions
this time as a way of saving time but it worked. No more Aches
or Pains.
While
we
were watching the 6
o’clock Local News
Kathy made Macaroni
and Cheese
for our supper. Our area is still seeing new Virus
Cases
but not as much as before even though more businesses are opening up.
They are crediting the declining numbers to the fact people are
wearing Masks
that helps to stop the spread. They also noted
new
Hot-Spots
and crediting them
to Super
Spreader Events
such as Parties,
Beaches
and Political
Gatherings where
there is no Social
Distancing
nor Masks
being
worn.
This
evening the Thunder
rolled in and large Puddles
filled the parking lot. The forecast is for this system to continue
giving us Rain
overnight.
We’ll see what we can do tomorrow.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s
about time.
Krackers
I
thought I’d tell you a good time travel joke, but you didn’t get
it.
Sometimes you meet some wonderful people along the way. I have met some people who have become great friends at the cook-off and who I look forward to seeing every year. Unfortunately, due to Coronavirus, I will not get to see them this year.
ReplyDeleteIn Texas, the face mask mandate has certainly helped us curve our COVID-19 cases. I only hope people continue to wear them and do not let their guard down this Labor Day weekend.
Mac 'n cheese? No fair!!!! My all time favorite! Sorry you have continued problems with your banking. Surprisingly, I've never had any trouble. I certainly consider myself lucky in that respect.
ReplyDeleteI consider the people we've met (both online and in person) the years we fulltimed to be our greatest benefit. Some we have passed, some we have failed to keep in contact with, some we communicate on a somewhat regular basis. Each person on that journey has added joy to our life.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your banking figured out. Nice that you made the friends you did. Hear anything on the Jayco yet?
