Just like the last few nights lately Kathy felt like she wasn’t falling asleep until late in the morning, but actually fell into a state of rest, not sleep while Tossing and Turning most of the night. I fell asleep as soon as I went to bed only to wake each time I Tossed and Turned until it was time to get up this morning. Either way we are both having trouble to get a restful sleep which meant we slept in later.

With our daylight hours growing shorter we prefer to enjoy the Sun even if we are looking at it through a Window. Right before the Summer Solstice there was Fifteen Hours and Sixteen Minutes between Sunrise and Sunset in the Windsor area. We are now down to Twelve Hours and Seven Minutes and it will drop below the Eleven Hour mark before the Winter Solstice takes place.

We had Toast with Marmalade for breakfast before taking our morning beverages over to the Computers. Even though we have been spending far more time on these machines then we’d like most times we are reading, researching and Communicating on them. I’ve mentioned that I only check E-Mails once a day before. One is my personal account while the other belongs to the Blog. That is also the one our Good Friends from Washington State Wayne and Sue contact us on. Right now they are fortunate that the Wildfires are at least Sixty Miles away from their home but if the winds change direction that could change in a flash. The other day Wayne teased us about the Canadians honking like crazy as they flew overhead heading south already.

When I finally checked the Comments on our Blog our Friend Marlene asked if I’d ever found my Folder of Resumes that I wanted to hand out. She also informed me of a Company in Leamington that needs welders. I have completely emptied the Truck, the Car and checked everywhere that Folder could be in the Apartment without any luck. As for the Company I would need up to date certification which would cost Thousands of Dollars, it is Fifty Miles each direction. Kathy also doesn’t want to move.

For lunch we had Macaroni and Cheese along with Cookies, Oranges a well as a Yogurt Cup for dessert. Even that little bit had us feeling full and we needed to let our lunch settle so it was back to the Computers.

While I was finally logging in all the Medications that we picked up at the Pharmacy last Friday Kathy was busy checking her Facebook Account. That’s when she found out our daughter Rose had a busy morning. She posted the birth of Maryam our newest granddaughter at 8:15 this morning weighing in at 7 pounds 8 ounces. With the Caronavirus we’ll wait to visit through a window after they are Home for a few days.

We waited until the 6 o’clock Local News was over before sharing a Store Bought Thin Crust Pizza for supper.

We talked about going for a ride tomorrow as a way of boosting Kathy’s energy level. Tonight we are both taking something to help us sleep. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Getting out for a little activity will surely help with the sleep.

  2. We have difficulty sleeping too. I think it is a part of aging. Hate to say it but we now sleep better when in separate beds. Len can not get comfortable with his shoulder situation and I suffer with insomnia.

I am liking these cooler days but hate seeing dark come earlier too.

  4. Congratulations on your new granddaughter but sad that you will have to visit through a window and that you had to hear about it on Facebook. I'm sure you can't wait until COVID let's you hold her :-)

  5. Congratulations to the new parents on the birth of Maryam and also to the doting grandparents.

Being a long time sufferer of insomnia, I sincerely hope you were able to get a restful night's rest.
