We seem to be riding a wave almost nightly whether or not we will sleep soundly or have a restless night. Kathy had a hard time falling asleep last night while I woke after a brief nap only to toss and turn most of the night. Kathy got about Six Hours Sleep while I got Three. We better take something tonight or we’ll just switch out our sleep patterns.
What
I won’t do is after a night like this is to stay in bed longer in
the morning to make up for that lost sleep. That is my body trying to
change my sleep pattern. After looking at the Clock
I dragged myself out of bed by 8:30
because there
are things to do during the day that can
only be done then. The sky is not Clear.
It was after 9:00 when Kathy joined me for breakfast but we both felt weighed down. Even drinking Decaffeinated Coffee it felt like a pick-me-up. I had hoped to do something this morning but just lacked the energy. We accomplished some reading this morning.
After doing our morning chores I made Grilled Cheese Sandwiches garnished with Olives while Kathy made the dessert plate with Cookies, Grapes and Chocolate Pudding Cups.
It was past 1:00 before we left the Apartment. With the cooler North Wind we even brought sweaters to wear. Driving down Riverside Drive the changing Fall Colours were only just starting to show. It felt good driving the Truck even though the route was only Half on the Expressway.
It
was nearly 2:00
when we drove into Leisure
Trailer Sales
looking to find where our Trailer
was parked. We spotted it blocked behind a personal street-rod. We
spoke with Stephanie for a short moment and she agreed that the new
Customer
Representatives
at Jayco
have not been too prompt at communicating with the Dealers
or Customers.
Even without our saying anything our Trailer
was brought forward for us to inspect. It’s bad when the Employees
know which is your Trailer
just by them seeing your Truck.Setting up for Towing.
The
first thing we did was to inspect the inside of the Trailer
checking for things we had been told had
been done. We
found they had removed the Skylight
Cover that I
made so the Early
Morning Sun was
not waking us as well as keeping the heat out in the Summer
and cold out in the Winter.
Then I was on the
roof to check it
out. We had been told our Skylight
had been replaced. It had additional Sealer
but was the same one I had installed. It was nice looking at a
Sidewall
that was not Cracked
and was painted the proper colour. Hopefully this repair will last
longer then the Two
Previous Repairs.No more Crack.
Once the Propane Tanks and License Plate were installed it didn’t take long to say good-bye and hit the road. Even with Rush Hour Traffic we were exiting the Expressway Fifteen Minutes later.
Five
Minutes later we
were driving towards our Storage
Unit at Guardian
Storage.
When we pulled the Trailer
out back on
August 10th
we returned to collect the Boards
it was parked on and put them inside. After
they were loaded it was time to park on our spot. We found another
Trailer was
now parked next to where we had been.
It was another Ten
Minutes before
the Trailer
was sitting on the Boards
it will spend the Winter
on.Covering the AC.
Before
we finished we had the X-Wheel
Chock-Locks
installed along with the Tire
and Air
Conditioner Covers
on. Since we’ll be bringing things back inside soon we want to keep
our Batteries
Charged and with
less then Twelve
Hours of Sunlight
there was only one thing to do. I took the time to raise our Solar
Panels just like
last Winter
so the Charge
Controller can
maintain the Batteries.Wheels Locked, Chocked and Covered
On the Boards.
As
we were leaving we collected our Mail
before going to
Wendy’s
Drive-Thru
for supper. Even though their Summer
Special is over
it still an inexpensive place to eat. Of course we ate in the Truck
watching traffic
drive by because
their dining rooms are still closed.Tilting the Solar Panels.
We
watched the 6
o’clock Local News
where we are still having new Coronavirus Cases but are lower then
other parts of the Province. Before 5:00.
Later we watched the Debate between President Trump and Joe Biden. Kathy could not believe what was happening when the President was arguing with the Moderator. Afterwards the Fact Checkers said Biden was off on a couple of numbers but the President was off on all his facts. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Words of Inspiration
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.

Congratulations on the trailer recovery. Maybe you will get to do some rolling next spring. By the way it gets to be spring in Corpus Christi Tx by the end of January. See ya on the road.
ReplyDeleteWe had the same cracking issue in the same area with our Open Range. It was repaired 3 times all to only crack again. Finally when it went back to the manufacturer they replaced that whole side. We don't know if that worked because only 200 miles on the way back to Alabama from Indiana a spring hanger broke. That had been a continuing issue too. After it was fixed (plus another that was about to break) when we got back to Alabama we traded down. I do hope your problems have been cured.
ReplyDeleteYour grilled cheese always looks so good! Hoping the fifth wheel stays fixed, but until you go you won't know. Hope they stand behind it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting your rig back. I thought I would like to get one but after following yours and so many other blogs of full and part-timers I have changed my mind. They require so much work and maintenance even when new. I do not think I could climb on the roof much less come down.
ReplyDeleteI was worried about you guys, last night you were not showing up on my reading feed I even came to your blog and there was no post. I think it is another Blogger glitch as when I make my own posts they do not show up on people who have me on their sidebar as you guys do.
Glad to hear your rig is fixed and back home. Too bad you're going to miss another southwest visit. I'm planning to head out the first of December. No Dolly again. :((
ReplyDeleteOK then. Your rig is back home. I do wish there were some way you guys could get some walking in as that seems to be what helps me most with being able to sleep. Sleeping is a pretty big deal. Well, here's to tonight! Good sleep all around.
