It always seems to happen that way. After having a couple of bad nights of sleep Kathy had no problem sleeping like a rock. This morning though she admitted she could have easily gone back to bed. I had no problem falling asleep last night but by 2:00 kept waking to stupid things running through my mind. Things that as a citizen I have no control over but was busy solving world issues instead of sleeping. Finally I took an Extra Strength Tylenol at 4:00 but it would be after 6:00 by the time I fell back to sleep.
Not seeing the Sun today.
We were having breakfast by 8:30 and reviewing what we were doing today. We headed to the Computers knowing we had little time to spend there. A quick check of Blogs, E-Mails and Messages along with The Weather Network only lasted as long as we had our Coffees. The 36 F (2 C) temperature we woke up to would be the high for today with a mixture of precipitation throughout the day.
With our morning chores complete we were out the door shortly before 12:00. Since we didn’t want to come back to a pile of Dirty Dishes we decided to eat lunch out. Using Coupons we stopped at Burger King to have Chicken Nuggets for lunch. We watched out the window as we ate as the Drizzle changed to lite Flurries then back.
Devonshire Retirement Home.
We arrived at the Devonshire Retirement Home with minutes to spare. By dropping Kathy at the door while I went to park the Car she had signed us in and had already met up with my aunt Anna before I got inside. The Retirement Home had a new resident Kitten that served to brighten the lives of many of the others in the Home. Research shows that having a pet has many benefits towards one’s health so if One Kitten brightens the day of a Hundred Residents it’s all good. We again watched out the windows as we visited as the Drizzle changed to Flurries then back. After enjoying a wonderful visit we parted after a round of Hugs and Kisses.

We were on our way to visit Sandy and Gerry in Amherstburg but with my prompting Kathy called ahead only to find out that Gerry was sick in bed so we’ll get together when he’s feeling better. No need for Kathy to catch any bugs.
Clouds over the town of Essex.
Since we were nearby we drove by our former home base of Wildwood Golf and RV Park that is now closed for the season. It was after 4:00 at that point so we stopped at the A-1 Chinese Restaurant in Essex. We arrived just in time for the warming tables to be refilled with the fresh foods. We know we ate more then we should but we watched not to overdo it.
Jen will take her Christmas Tree down tomorrow.
It brightens up the house.
It was past 5:30 when we drove over to our daughter-in-law Jen’s house. As usual we had an enjoyable visit and a hot cup of Tea to warm us up. After being off for nearly Two Weeks Connor and Haigan are not looking forward to going back to school on Monday.

Kathy enjoyed the day travelling around and visiting after spending so much time in the Apartment lately. It was past 9:00 when we got home this evening. We are not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but we’ll let you know after it happens. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. I'm one of those that leaves the tree up for months. It just makes the house happier.

  2. Residents in these senior homes do love to see pets. The best therapy for some. ;)
