This
is getting contagious. We both slept late this morning myself until
8:20 and Kathy more then an Hour later. Even though we
couldn’t see the Sun behind the Clouds it was bright
enough outside that I simply opened the Bedroom Blinds to wake
her up. Darn I didn’t even get the chance to Kiss her until she was
in the other room.
Breakfast
was simply Coffee/Tea that we drank at our Computers.
Kathy received a message from our daughter-in-law Melissa that her
mother Sally did not want a Funeral but only
a showing for the immediate family before Cremation. There
will be a Service at a later date. Knowing what we both went
through before we told her to watch out for her father Al. When you
loose your spouse especially the man who always depended on his wife
it is not uncommon to forget to eat. It is like a Fog envelops
you.
With
all the Weather Guessers painting a rather White picture
for our area we knew that if we were going out today it would have to
be sooner then later. Another thing they pointed out was our high of
37 F (3 C) happened right after midnight and it would
be all downhill from there. We also discussed ways to improve on our
comfort. With each suggestion we added more things to our List.
As
soon as our inside chores were completed I headed out to the Truck
so that I could find the Screws in my Organizers to
complete a few more inside projects. Even though I thought that I was
dressed against the cold the West Winds cut right through me.
By the time I was back in the Apartment
I needed to warm up.
We
worked together to make Grilled Turkey and Cheese Sandwiches
garnished with Olives for lunch. Cookies and Yogurt
Cups for dessert with Coffee/Tea as the topper.
We
were out the door close to 1:30 making
Canadian Tire our first stop. We realized that the
Bookshelf we have is smaller then we anticipated. Considering
the number of Books that Kathy reads and the few Accent
Pieces we have we needed to find its twin. We lucked out with the
Bookshelf then needed to find Shelf Liners. We were
practically back to the door before I remembered where they were. In
the Aisle next to where we found the Bookshelf.
Our
next stop was the Motor City Community
Credit Union to get Quarters and Loonies for
the Laundry. For security purposes every hour someone comes
along to gather the small change including the rolls of Quarters.
It took all Three Tellers together to make up a
roll of Quarters.
We
swung around to Value Village more as a way of having
someplace to walk but ended up finding another Accent Piece for
the Apartment at a price we
couldn’t pass up.
We
then stopped at Dollarama to pick
up a few miscellaneous items we needed. The best part was the lower
costs we paid for these quality items.
Keeping
in the theme of lower costs we headed over to Bulk
Barn where we stocked up on Peanuts, Raisins
and Cranberries.
It
was nearly 5:00 so we headed over to Taco
Bell where we were able use a Coupon to have a
satisfying meal at a lower then normal price.
We
were able to get everything in the Apartment
before the 6 o’clock Local News started
but due to “Technical Difficulties” it was being broadcast
from London instead of Windsor
and even then they were having audio problems
We
then had time to read more RV Blogs and read about the shock
and sadness most are feeling in the wake of the passing of George
Yates from Our Awesome Travels. Suzie
was able to post a Link for those who
will be able to attend the Funeral. We’ll continue to keep
Suzie and George’s Family in our prayers at this time of
grieving.
Kathy
had thought a TV
Special
was
going to be aired this evening but she
had
the Month
wrong so we finished the night with another Hour
of CNN
coverage of the Impeachment
Trial Coverage.
So
far everything outside is still Green
and Brown.
We
hope it stays that way.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!

I think it is wonderful that you can sleep late, you have no idea how lucky you are. If I had a husband that woke me up while I was still sleeping...he would not be my husband anymore...just saying :)
ReplyDeleteGeorge will be missed but at least he is no longer suffering.
Lucky you get to sleep in!! I love that you always have coupons or find great deals when it comes to food ... and furniture for that matter!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rick
ReplyDeleteGeorge will be missed by so many
ReplyDeleteSaving all those pennies and soon you two will be back on the road.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy day but always nice to get things accomplished. Nothing wrong with sleeping in...:)
ReplyDeleteWow more bad news for you guys. So many losses. I'm sorry to read of your friend George. It really has been a rough January so far. Hoping the rest of the year turns a more positive corner!
