After
seeing the Comments that we have gotten over the last couple
of weeks, we would like to say Thank You for the Words
of Encouragement that everyone has expressed because even though
we have kept a positive attitude towards this resolution it has been
at times very draining. Modern Technology in some instances is
not always the best way to solving age old problems and sometimes the
Simpler Approach is better especially in vehicles. What a
Vehicle is subjected to also affects the life of different
Components. For now we will continue knowing that our Truck
is road worthy and far Safer then it was a month ago.
When we
finally got to bed last night neither of us remember our heads
hitting the pillows. When my eyes opened this morning there was
Sunlight seeping around the Window Shades. I didn’t
sleep late enough to miss seeing a layer of Frost covering
most of the vehicles around us. Even with cooler temperatures the Sun
was melting things off and causing the Frost to steam as it
melted.
As we
ate our Muffins for breakfast we watched as a number of
RVs headed for the Highway. After finishing our
Coffee/Tea while at the Computers we both had chores we
needed to do.
Kathy
had to enter all the information into our Christmas
Expense Spreadsheet. The way the Spreadsheet
is set up it allows her to keep track of everything we have bought
for everyone on our list and to keep track of the value. She can also
refer back to previous years so the recipient is not receiving the
same thing every year. When Kathy is partly finished the Shopping
she’ll simply print out these lists which will help determine what
the final Gifts will be.
Recently
our Printer has been showing an Error Message
every time we tried to use it. Yesterday when we went to Walmart
to look at replacing it, Matthew an Associate asked what was
happening then recommended a possible fix.
This was a White Paper Towel. Amazing how dirty a Printer can get internally. |
With
that advice in mind, this morning I removed the Ink Cartridges
then sprayed a corner of a Paper Towel with Glass Cleaner
then proceeded to wipe down the Printer Head Guides. With all
the Dust in the air and from the paper, (even though we can’t
see it) it does build up on the Guides. It only took a couple
of minutes to clean but as soon as Kathy tried to print a document it
worked like a charm. That saved us having to buy another Printer.
We
worked together making lunch. While Kathy made Turkey Sandwiches
I cooked up some Butternut Squash Soup and assembled the
Blackberry covered Yogurt we had for dessert. We
figured that would be our largest meal of the day and we were right.
With the
Printed Christmas Lists in hand
we headed back to Walmart. Since
we didn’t spend any money the night we stayed in their lot we have
made up for it with our Christmas Shopping.
We spent nearly Two Hours there finding personal things for
everyone and were starting to feel tired so decided to call it a day.
We
arrived back at Dream Catcher RV Park
just before 4:00 and left all our purchases in the Truck while
we walked over to the Clubhouse.
Every Sunday they hold an Ice Cream Social where you get Three
Medium Sized Scoops of Ice Cream with
Toppings for a Dollar. You then get to sit and
socialize with others enjoying their tasty treats.
It
was past 5:00 when we headed back to the Trailer
and brought our purchases in. Around 8:00 we started feeling a little
hungry so had a Hot
Chocolate
and a couple of Cookies
for our supper. After looking at our List
we are nearly finished all of
our Shopping
for 2019.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and
Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Sounds like you had a much better day today. You are almost finished shopping for next year and I haven't even finished this years shopping yet. When you get to AZ can Kathy finish my shopping?
ReplyDeleteOkay, we just caught up and so glad to read you are safe and in Deming. The sincere hope is that all the bad stuff is in the rear view mirror. You certainly deserve to have smooth sailing the rest of your trip.
ReplyDeleteWell at least this year I finished Christmas shopping for 2018 before Kathy finished 2019...lol Stay safe.
Glad to hear that the printer is good to go without having to buy a new one.
ReplyDeleteI can never think of WHAT to buy. I admire Kathy for her creativity!!
ReplyDeleteThat's something I'll definitely keep in mind with my printer. Nice the guy at Walmart was knowledgeable about printers. Sounds like a great day for you two!
