It felt
like a special day when I was once again up before the Sun
peeked over the Mountain Tops. When I checked The
Weather Network our temperature was sitting right at the
Freezing Mark which was an improvement.
After
having breakfast I was back on the Phone with our Bank
only to be given the same runaround as I had gotten last evening. The
only thing I could do was call up our local branch and talk to Lorrie
who had freed up our funds. After I explained the money was not in
our account she said she would call me back. Fifteen Minutes
later Lorrie called back saying the person that was supposed to make
the Transfer didn’t realize just how much of a hurry we were
in but it would be in the account by noon.
We just
finished eating when Darla from Vision Ford
called saying the Truck was ready but they couldn’t release
it without full payment. It works different back home. Then I
verified the Total that she had worked out for us on Saturday
only to have a big difference in the price. What part of Total
Costs didn’t she understand.
When the
Funds finally appeared in our account we were scrambling to
Transfer it to the Credit Card that we’ll be using.
When the Transfer was done I was talking to their
Representative only to be disconnected. An Info Commercial
cut in the conversation before we were disconnected. Calling back in
order to get things moving today I insisted on speaking to a
Supervisor. Together we hatched a plan so that he could verify
the Transfer had taken place in order to authorize the
Transaction.
Once
again I had to call back our Local Branch to explain what was
needed. Do you know that many Banks don’t have FAX
Machines anymore? They transferred the call to
another Branch where we finally got them to understand the
timing on this. The information was Faxed as we spoke.
Vision
Ford service department closed at 5:00 MST and the
Credit Card Supervisor called at 5:30 saying the Transfer
was approved and everything was good to go for the Transaction.
That was nearly Four and a Half Hours on the Phone today
getting this all straightened around. It was nice to put the Phone
on Speaker Mode so Kathy could hear what was being said and a
few times they needed to ask her some questions as well. Talk about
being mentally drained.
We
settled for Pancakes
for supper. Tomorrow is another day but at least the Payment
will go through. We also have to get a few supplies before we hit the
road on Friday. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and
Enjoy!
It’s about time.

I just can't believe the hassle you guys have had to deal with. I'd probably be falling apart by the end of those phone calls. So glad you got it worked out and you can now get out of that freezing weather.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the problems with the truck are over. Its about time you two can think of better things on your trip.

ReplyDeleteHi guys, I feel with you. Over the years we've had our share of frustrations with banks, transfers and such. What a headache you've had. Hope things go smooth from now on. All the best!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have it all sorted now and can head to warmer climes.
ReplyDeleteYay..you get your truck back and can get back on the road! Hope it all goes good today with no issues!
ReplyDeleteSo very frustrating for sure. On to better things ahead and better weather!
ReplyDeleteWhat a rough time you had getting your money transferred to where you wanted it. Believe it or not, I still have my FAX machine but haven't used it in years. My first FAX machine had that dang heat sensitive paper. Glad they don't use that anymore.
