Hot Chore Day With Beautiful Results.

With the warmer temperatures sapping the energy out of the both of us yesterday and that I didn’t get to bed until midnight I was surprise to find myself getting things ready for breakfast before 8:00 this morning. With that taken care of I checked out The Weather Network only to find the Humidex was already above the Century Mark. It was only minutes later that Kathy followed me downstairs.

As soon as we were finished our Muffin for breakfast Kathy headed to her Computer while I started doing my chores and sipping my Coffee each time I walked by it sitting on the table. As mentioned yesterday I needed to do the Laundry but didn’t want to do it in the heat of the afternoon.

I was at the Park Laundry Room by 10:00 and even though others had the same idea there were plenty of machines. Once all the clothes were in the Dryers I walked back Home to hang the Delicates in the Shower to dry. Kathy was trying to catch up on her data entries on our Expenditure Spreadsheet that she had fallen behind due to her Eye Surgery. She insists that it is her job even though I set the Spreadsheet up and could easily do it. As she continued with that I warmed the Leftover Pizza from last night for our lunch.

It was around 1:30 when I got back with the folded clothes and the Humidex was already at 108 F (42 C). it was perfect timing because I needed to cool down and Kathy was having problems with the Spreadsheet again. It is actually a flaw in the Excel Program itself where it will only put most of the Dates in proper order while leaving the odd one stay in the same Cell that it was entered in. The easiest way I have found to fix it is to Insert another line, then Cut and Paste the out of position data, then Delete the corrupted line of cells.

Kathy wanted to go to the Park Library where they have a large Book Exchange selection. It was her first time driving since her Cataract Surgery and driving our New Edge. At only 20 KMH it was safer then being out on the road. She really likes the way it handles.
These Yucca Plants are Six Foot Tall
While Kathy was gone I used our Electric Lawnmower to cut the Grass. In our Front Flowerbed our Yucca Plants have finally started to bloom. When they first start to sprout they resemble a giant stem of Asparagus. Last year when we moved to this Site the Flowerbed was so overgrown that we trimmed a lot of the plants back so we didn’t get to see it bloom. Even the Lilies were in full bloom. By the time I’d finished my shirt was wringing wet.

For supper Kathy sautéed some Asparagus and microwaved a Sweet Potato while I grilled a Ham Steak on the Weber. It all tasted wonderful.

This evening’s movie that we watched came from Big Lots. It was different, gave us a view of how others survive but was still a good movie.

I went outside to water the Plants we have in Flowerpots so they wouldn’t dry up from all this High Heat. Then I parked the Truck in the Overflow Parking Area over by the Clubhouse so Mark will have a place to park in the morning. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
