Good Exercise, Reasonable Meals, Vera Called, Missed Gifts Found and A Movie About Reality.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Even though we were both tired from everything we did yesterday we still managed to struggle falling asleep last night. I managed to drift off by 2:00 and it was another Hour before Kathy finally succumbed to sleep.
Happy they are all wrapped.
We slept until nearly 8:30 this morning and felt like we were dragging a couple of anchors as we tried starting our day. As a way of celebrating the wrapping of Christmas Gifts and the cooler temperatures we decided we needed some exercise.

Planning to take a ride around the Park on our Tandem Bicycle we had a setback as soon as we stepped outside the Contracted Grass Cutters started doing their job. In the process they filled the air with Dust and Pollen. I just told Kathy we’d start at the front of the Park today so the Dust could settle.

Imagine her shock when we rode out the front gate heading west on the 11th Concession. Within a short distance we turned north on the Chrysler Greenway which borders the edge of Wildwood Golf Course. The Greenway is an abandoned Rail Line that has been repurposed as a Bicycle Trail. Being that we only had water and no I.D. with us we only traveled to the Cross Paths behind the Park. The Cross Paths are other abandoned Rail Lines that used to connect to this main Line years ago and still used to connect local communities today. They all seemed to have plenty of Shade from Trees that edged the Trails making it a comfortable ride.

After showing this Riding Trail to Kathy we headed back towards the Park. Since it had been a shorter ride then we’ve become used to we did a perimeter ride around the RV Park before heading Home for lunch.

Kathy had me chopping the last of the Ham Steak we grilled last night along with Celery and Onions. She created a Toasted Open-Faced Ham-Salad Sandwich along with Tomatoes and Cherries as well as a Date Square to top it all off. It was not overfilling but satisfying.

After having many Back and Neck Injuries from years of working in the Casting Plants I needed more exercise. After packing up the Garbage I dropped it off at the Trash and Recycle Area before going to the small Workout Room. Even with the limited Free Weights after an Hour I was able to go back Home Pain-Free.

When I arrived, Kathy was on the phone with our friend Vera who we have been trying to reach this past week. Apparently soon after I walked out to go exercise Vera had called our phone and they had a lengthy talk. Bill is not doing well so we have to get up to see him.

Kathy was in the process of wrapping a Birthday Gift when Vera called so I helped her to finish that up. When she reached in the Wrapping Paper bag she found Three Gifts that were missed. They were also quickly wrapped and can be easily added to the proper Gift Bags for the Merry Thanksmas Celebration.

We needed to relax so we decided to watch the movie called “Still Alice”. It is about a woman who had a brilliant career until she developed Alzheimer. It was sad to see the effect that it had on not only her but her family as they tried to cope with the disease. Unfortunately, there are many real-life families doing exactly that.

It was after 6:30 when I grilled some Spareribs on the Weber while Kathy cooked up some Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts for sides. It was very satisfying and the portions were kept reasonable.

Hoping to finish the project tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
