Even though I was still feeling tired while
laying in bed, I finally just got up to start my day before 7:30 this morning. After
having Two Late Nights I figured
that it would be nice to just sleep in but it didn’t happen. Kathy did manage
to sleep a little later but that was due to a change in her medication. When
she got up just after 8:30 she said it felt like she was in a Fog and probably could have slept
longer.
We had Cereal
for breakfast and drank our Coffees
at the Computers but we were
watching the Clock. Once our inside
chores were finished we were out the door and heading to Windsor by 10:20.
Our destination was Fantastic Sam’s for an overdue Haircut. Because Jenna was away on one of her One Week Vacations last week and we don’t trust anyone else to cut
our hair we waited an extra week for her return. When we arrived, the place was
packed with other customers that had also waited for her to return. With her
expertise she was going from one person to another using the extra chairs in
the shop. She was only Five Minutes Late
with our appointment but had us all cleaned up and out the door before lunch.
Kathy was starting to feel Light-Headed so we went to Wendy’s for
our Value Menu lunch. Where else can
you get Two Chicken Wraps, Two Chocolate Frosties and Two Senior’s Soft Drinks for $7.19. Not only did it taste great but
wasn’t Over-Filling.
We had gotten groceries on Monday evening
but didn’t get everything on our Shopping
List that was back at Home. After lunch we went to the Zehrs Supper
Store it took nearly an Hour but when we left we had only One Thing on our list yet to get.
We were back Home by 2:00. One of the things
we had picked up at the store was Bacon
because Kathy said she only had a few pieces left in the Freezer. After putting the Grill
Mat on our Weber Q, I proceeded
to grill all Three Pounds of Bacon.
Once it had cooled down inside the
Trailer and Kathy had wiped away most of the grease she packaged them into Reusable Rubber-Maid Food Containers before
putting them into the Freezer. Now
if she needs Bacon for a Sandwich, in a Salad or on Perogies
she simply microwaves what she needs in a matter of Seconds while the rest stays frozen until she needs it.
For supper we had Leftovers, leftover Chicken
Wings and leftover Celery-Root.
We didn’t even warm it up because it tasted just as good cold.
We were again out the door before 5:30 in
order to drive to Pharma Choice drugstore
in Amherstburg.
We had to pick up our Prescription
Medications that I had called in on Monday. With a new assistant that we
had never seen before it was a bit trying. I kept telling her where to look for
Kathy’s Meds and she kept looking on
a shelf on the other side of the room.
Our next stop was for our weekly visit with
our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa. With the 97 F (36 C) Humidex we found them inside enjoying
the Air Conditioning. We all had
plenty to talk about. Things we’ve been doing, things we want to do, things
from our past and others that we are not sure of. Melissa is learning a new job
at work which may be easier in one sense but harder in another. As usual we had
an enjoyable visit that was filled with laughter.
We left shortly after 8:00 to go over to Walmart
where we were able to get the last thing on our Shopping List.
As we were driving across Pike Road we were suddenly hit with about Fifty heavy Raindrops in our windshield and then it stopped. As I sit here
writing the Blog the Rain comes and goes every now and
again. Perfect Timing! Have I told
you how the sound of Rain on our Roof makes us sleep? Thanks
for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Your mechanic also sells Christmas trees.
I was just checking some of your older posts when I noticed you had just published your blog. As I write this the rain is really coming down here, also.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having an enjoyable summer. How nice to get to spend a day with your granddaughter.
