Cold Temperatures Not Helping and Nearly Ready.

Our Location today is at Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

With this already being Saturday, we knew that we had to get a lot of work done at the Trailer today so we were on our way to Guardian Storage by 9:30. With the morning temperature being 21 F (-6 C) as soon as we arrived at the Trailer and had the slides spread the Blue Flame Heater was once again put into service.

We started packing up the few Boxes that we had on hand getting the last of the Office Cabinets emptied before heading back up to the Bedroom. We had managed to empty our Clothing Cabinet and the majority of our Closet. Both of those also contained large amounts of Christmas Gifts that we had purchased while we were away. This morning I needed to get everything out from under the Bed. Once that was finished the process of packing that up soon ended when there were no Boxes big enough to hold many of the items.

We already had another load to go to the Storage Unit so we loaded up the Truck and made the delivery. We also made another stop at the Office where we again had to purchase a few more Boxes. Chad didn’t realize how big an undertaking we were involved in.

By the time we got back to the Trailer it was time to heat up the Leftover Chicken Primavera for our lunch. Kathy just loves the fact that even though our Solar Panels are laid flat on the roof the Sun had our Batteries fully charged. With a simple flip of a switch the Main Inverter was able to heat up our meals. We had Paper Plates but metal utensils which made for a quick clean-up.

We worked together packing the last of the interior contents from the Dresser and had another load to go shortly after 1:00. We were back at the Trailer by 1:45 but Kathy was having too much pain in her shoulders so she stayed inside to clean the last of the Desert Dust from the Interior. I started taking things from the Basement and stacking them in the rear of the Truck. With the Cabinets I built in, the Hitch, Generator and Flat Tire that didn’t leave much space but I still had quite a load. Kathy stayed in the Trailer to rest while I added this load to the Storage Unit.

The temperature reached a high of 37 F (3 C) this afternoon, and with having to dress to keep warm it seems to wear us out quicker. By 3:45 we brought in the slides and called it a day.

We were hungry and didn’t feel like Fast Food so we stopped at the Chinese Restaurant we ate at last weekend. We tried something different on the menu so we didn’t have leftovers to bring back to our daughter’s house today.

Our Hot Showers this evening made us feel alive again. Tomorrow we should have the Basement empty and the Bicycle Carrier off the back Bumper in a couple of hours. We are just hoping that when we get our Home back from the Jayco Factory that it will have been worth this effort. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. SO much work, but it will be worth it in the end when your rig is fixed!

  2. Wow, that's a lot of stuff you've been packing and moving. I just wonder why it wouldn't have been worth the effort if the rig is going to the factory to get fixed for a structural issue. Shouldn't a one time return get it fixed? Good luck.
