Relaxing Day Running Errands, 110 and Sharing Supper.

Our Location today is at Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We were both so relieved that the Trailer was now in the hands of the RV Dealer that we slept like a couple of rocks. That didn’t matter to my internal clock when I woke before 8:00 and could hear the sounds of Footsteps upstairs getting ready to go to work. I remembered those days so made a point of not disturbing them and just lay in bed until I heard the sound of the Front Door being closed.

Our area is still experiencing the Below Freezing Temperatures through the night but today the area was expecting daytime temps in the lower 40s which they haven’t seen since early January. Leaving Kathy sleep until 9:00 she finally felt rested when she got up.
Sanford kept us company while we had breakfast and stayed close to us downstairs afterwards. Kathy finished gathering all the documents that were needed so we could bring our Income Tax Returns to our Accountants Office to complete.

I had to call Verizon to pay our account and to ask a question. Since we’ve been home a message continues to appear whenever we turn on our MiFi saying that our unit is Roaming and we could be required to pay Roaming Charges. When I spoke with Chad after he read our account he said we were covered for Unlimited Data in both Canada and the US, that we should just disregard those messages.

We had Chicken and Rice Soup as well as sharing a Roast Beef Sandwich for our lunch. It felt good to be having a Home Cooked Meal something that was not always practical while we were emptying out the Trailer.

By 12:30 we had stopped at VitalAire to pick up our CPAP Supplies that had been assigned to us last November while we were away. Another woman was being served when we arrived and just from the questions that she was asking she has not dealt with Sleep Apnea as long as we have. Before we left George another former Coworker from the Plant I spent Thirty Years in came in for his supplies. We talked a bit and hope to see one another again soon.

Our next stop just down the road was Windsor Gas and Diesel. Kathy stayed in the car while I went in to Thank Jim for advising me about our problem in St Louis when the Service Manager for Broadway Ford was trying to replace things that were not needed on the Truck. Jim had been wondering if we made it Home and had tried calling our Home Phone Number which we have not activated yet. How many Mechanics do that?

From there we went to our Accountant’s Office where Kathy brought in our Forms. She always has it organized so they can easily do our returns which keeps our costs down.

Next, we went to Guardian Storage to collect our Mail, to tell them the Trailer was gone and to look at Boxes. The Boxes they had didn’t meet Kathy’s needs so we left them. I also made arrangements that when we get our Trailer back we’ll need to park it again for a couple of days while we reloaded almost everything we took out.

Still having time we went to Walmart in search of Cubes that Kathy was thinking about, but when she saw the Cubes and Heavy Shelves to hold them and were sold separately as well as being very expensive we spotted something else. This has a frame made from Metal Tubing that screws together and the shelving is made of a durable Canvas. This will help us organize our temporary bedroom.

Heading down Lauzon Parkway we were picking Tyler up at his Co-op Training right on time.

Back at the house, while Tyler showered I assembled Kathy’s new Storage Rack and we were surprised to see that we could Stack another identical Rack if we needed extra space and it was reasonably priced.

Kathy stayed behind to reorganize our bedroom while I drove Tyler to his Part-time After School Job. I had a chance to talk to him how important his Safety is when working around Industrial Equipment since his plans are to someday be an Electrician. All too soon I was dropping him off. Wasn’t it just a few years ago that I cradled him in the crook of my arm.

Kathy knew that I wasn’t going straight back to our Daughter’s House instead I stopped at The Canadian Blood Services. This past winter I could not find one place to make any Blood Donations because it seems there are multiple Donation Companies but they expect you to travel Hundreds of Miles to get to their location and they will not give you the name of a Competing Company that is close to you. The reason is that they sell your Blood to the Hospitals and Clinics, so if you go to the competition they would be loosing money. With that kind of attitude I was not able to make any Blood Donations this past winter. Today I made my 110th Blood Donation.

On the way back to Karen’s I stopped at the Chinese Restaurant that we like and picked up the Order for Two we had Ten Days ago. The only thing different was I added another Egg Roll and Wanton Soup. With only Karen and ourselves going to be home we thought we could share our meal.

I was home by 5:30 which is the time Karen is normally home from work. We started eating figuring she could always reheat it when she got back. We were watching the 6 o’clock Local News when she walked in the door after being delayed at work. Karen enjoyed her supper as much as we had.

We already have a few things lined up to do tomorrow so we’ll see how that goes. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
