As
mentioned in last night’s Blog after
playing outside with Sanford I was ready to crawl in bed the minute that I got
inside, but I had to write the Blog.
We also mentioned that the lower basement where we have set up our temporary bedroom
is probably the coldest room in the house next to the garage which seems to
make us sleep so soundly it’s amazing that we can even wake up.
I didn’t
wake until after 9:00 this morning myself and just busied myself reading on the
Computer. I let Kathy sleep until
she woke on her own. We took our time before going upstairs to have our breakfast
of which the hot Coffee was the most
appreciated.
Since
the temperature was suppose to reach the low Forties we finished the morning doing research and getting the
information needed to mail out our 8840 Forms
to the I.R.S. since we now had our completed Income Tax Returns to prove our claims.
The other research went much deeper then we expected so we didn’t even stop for
lunch. We would finally leave the basement close to 5:00 this evening. After spending
all that time in the basement (by our choosing)
we were again experiencing a touch of “Cabin
Fever”.
Normally
we go for a weekly visit with our son and daughter-in-law on Wednesday evenings
but because of other commitments they had we’ll have to wait until next week. That
means we’ll have more to talk about when we get together.
Our
first destination was the Shoppers Drug Mart where the Post Office stays open until 8:00 in the evening
unlike the Canada Post Office itself. We needed a US Stamp but by going to the counter like that the Envelope was stamped
and put in a container that would be processed at the Main Post Office in Windsor this evening and be across
the border by midnight.
We then
went to A&W where we again used coupons we get
through the mail to buy our supper at a reduced price. The sun even shone on
our table for about Half a Minute
before disappearing again behind the heavy clouds.
We
drove over to the Lakeshore Cinema and we were surprise how few people were
there as it is normally packed. We went to see the futuristic movie Ready Player One directed by Steven Spielberg
and we were the only ones in the theater. The newspapers are already saying
that this is the Highest Grossing Movie
in History. Would you expect anything less from a Spielberg Movie? Anyone that is into Video Games or Virtual Reality
this movie is a “Must See”. From the
very beginning it will keep you on the edge of your seat and it proves that
just because you see it on the Computer doesn’t
mean that it’s true. We both gave it Two
Thumbs Up. If this movie doesn’t win any awards for Special Effects something is definitely wrong.
When
we stepped outside we were again getting a lite Snow Flurry but with the temperatures just above Freezing it was melting fairly quickly.
It was after 9:00 when we got back to Karen’s and she was the only one
still up.
Tomorrow
we’ll try to put some of today’s research to good use. Thanks for following along, feel free to
leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

You Might Be a Redneck If
You've ever driven a tractor to get a cup of
coffee.
About the time I'd be getting home you guys are leaving! Glad you saw a movie you enjoyed! And got your tax forms mailed.
