Doing Repairs For Our Daughter, Catching Up on Bookkeeping and Baking A Different Kind Of Pie.

Our Location today is at Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

When we went to bed last night we really didn’t have any plans for today mostly due to the Weather Forecast for the area. I’ve mentioned before how the sound of Rain makes Kathy especially, go into a very deep sleep. Imagine this Kathy has a hard time hearing people, myself included talking to her yet we are in the lower basement in our Daughter’s house and she knew that it was Raining, I basically had to wake her or she would have slept the day away.

This is not our style, for breakfast all we had was a cup of Coffee. When that was finished Kathy busied herself getting caught up on doing her Bookkeeping on our Expenditure Spreadsheet.

I had another small project that I found in the downstairs Bathroom. There’s Ceramic Tiles on not only the Floor but on the Walls as well but they didn’t have a Door Stop. After hearing the Handle hitting a few times I thought I’d prevent damage to the Wall. I simply attached a Door Stop on the door itself and haven’t heard any bad sounds since.

With this being Saturday Karen was home and asked if I could do another repair for her. She had a Extendable Clothes Hanger like we see on the RV Ladders. Karen admitted to overloading it before it pulled the fasteners out of the Wall. Those were only Wall Plugs holding it in the Wallboard. After locating the wall Studs her Extendable Clothes Hanger won’t be coming down in my lifetime.

Kathy was so focused on her Bookkeeping that even though I kept telling her to stop for lunch she kept saying not now, It was after 3:00 when we finally had a Ham Sandwich, a Cheese Stick and a Pudding Cup for our lunch.

Having seen a recipe On-Line Kathy had wanted to do some Baking so after getting some Instruction from Karen on how to operate her oven, we set to work. We first created a Cinnamon Roll that we thin sliced it to line the bottom of a Pie Pan. Once it was tightly packed I applied Apple Pie Filling while Kathy repeated the Cinnamon Roll process to create a Top Crust. It would take nearly an Hour to bake which gave us plenty of time to clean up.

After leaving the Pie cool down Kathy served it out. Everyone said it tasted great the only problem was the thickness Kathy had cut the Cinnamon Rolls wasn’t consistent. Darn that means we’ll have to try again. Don’t you just hate when that happens.

The heavy Rain hasn’t stopped all day and the Sump-Pump is constantly cycling but we are dryer then many around us. Reading lots of RV Blogs, we are praying for some that will have to Hunker Down to ride out this weather for the next couple of days.

Hopefully we’ll get out tomorrow. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  7. Since, you strike me as someone who does not sit very often how nice for both of you. Your daughter got something repaired and you had something to do...:)
That pie sounds pretty good even with an uneven cut cinnamon roll.
