Rain Around Us, In For The Long Haul and Getting Things Straightened.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

It is truly strange how just knowing we have the alarm set at night we wake up just before it is time for it to go off but if we don’t set it and we have to get up by a specific time we’ll just toss and turn the entire night. I slept so soundly I didn’t even hear the Rain that was covering the parking lot this morning.

While having our Free Continental Breakfast this morning we discussed what we would try to accomplish today as this sitting around is really starting to get to us. As soon as we returned to our room this morning the first thing we did was to call Leisure Trailer to see if Stephanie had any idea if we’d be able to get our Home back this weekend. Instead what we got was that she took the weekend off to go Camping with her children and the only thing anyone else knew was that it was in the Paint Shop which is off site.

The thought of spending the weekend here in this Hotel Room was not to our liking. What could we do? We could find some way of doing things other then just sitting around. We did our morning reading and thought about going back out to Essex to talk with our daughter-in-law but not before having lunch.

Since the Special of the Day is Perch at the Southside Bar and Grill that’s where we headed. We had the Halibut the other day and it was good but their Perch Dinner had it beat hands down. It was just filling enough without leaving us stuffed.

We weren’t in our room five minutes and we were heading out the door. Trying to get out of their parking lot at lunchtime on a Friday is nearly impossible because Dougal Avenue is a major route.  I managed to squeeze my way out but went a different direction then yesterday. Not only did it save us time but mileage as well.

Jen was outside with D.J. when we arrived but since it only felt like 97 F (36 C) we went inside to talk. We talked about a number of things and heard from Jen in her own words what has been taking place. With just over two weeks before School starts again she’s already slowly getting Supplies for the kids. It was past 4:00 when we got hugs from all the grands and Jen before heading back towards Windsor

The cloudy sky looked threatening and we didn’t get hit with any Rain.  As we got closer to Windsor there were fresh puddles everywhere. Our lunch had settled so we stopped at Taco Bell where we used a coupon that we got the other day that saved us Forty-Five percent on the purchase and we weren’t overly full either.

Not ready to go back to our Hotel Room we went over to the west-end Walmart to walk around for a while. We still managed to be back on time to watch the Local 6 o’clock News. Tomorrow we’ll be busy helping our daughter Karen for her little gathering. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Good luck with your repairs, this time away from your RV would have been a perfect time for you to take an exploring road trip around Ontario or Canada for a couple of weeks, there is so much to see and do right around here at home.

  2. Yes, it would be driving us nuts about now too. Only so much 'hotel living' one can do.

  3. It doesn't take long for cabin fever to set in, in a hotel room.

  4. Take in a few movies at night? At least you would be spending LESS time inside the hotel room!!
