Getting Packed and Ready To Go.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Getting up early is starting to be a habit that we are falling into but this morning there was a twist. We simply stayed in our room and had leftovers that we brought home from the gathering yesterday along with a Coffee. Not what one would typically eat for such a meal but it worked for us and kept us going until we went out for lunch.

I planned on doing the Laundry today so we’d have mostly clean clothes to bring back Home. When I checked the Laundry Room down the hall this morning there were people standing in line to use the only Washer and Dryer in the building designated for “Guest Use Only”. I could wait until we get back to our Park but the costs there are nearly double the price. These people probably had the same thing in mind that I had.

Today we went over to Jose’s Noodle Factory on Howard Avenue with the intention of having Pasta for lunch. When our server told us that their special for today was the Two-Piece Haddock Fish and Chip for the price of the one piece we still thought we were having Pasta. Checking the prices on the Menu the Pasta was much higher then the Haddock. Not only are we getting tired of Eating Out but it’s getting expensive. With a little convincing we both ordered the Special with Onion Rings rather then Fries thinking we’d have enough for a snack later for supper. As soon as we saw our meals they delivered we asked for two Takeout Boxes. We immediately put a full piece of Haddock in the Box along with over half of our Onion Rings. We were very comfortably satisfied with what we’d eaten.

Even though Kathy wanted to go someplace to walk around I reminded her about doing the Laundry. It was nearly 1:30 when we got back to the Hotel. Walking past the Laundry Room it was empty. Back in our room I sorted the clothes and had to do a few extra treatments. When I opened the lid of the Washer for our first load it was filled with Hotel Pillow Cases and Towels. So much for “Guest Use Only”. I simply piled them on the Dryer and got my washing started. Twenty minutes later when I returned with our second load the Dryer was empty but the Hotel Laundry was gone.

By the time I had everything cleaned, folded and put away it was time to watch the Local 6 o’clock News. Being that this was Sunday it only lasted a half hour broadcast. When that was over we had the rest of our Haddock Fish and Onion Rings for supper. Even though we ate it cold it tasted just as good as when we had them for lunch. The reason we have Onion Rings is there are less Carbs and Starch then in Fries which has drastically lowered Kathy’s sugar level.

After cleaning up and disposing of the trash in the bin outside Kathy and I busied ourselves packing. When we arrived two weeks ago we had enough clean clothes for ten days but we also had the dirty clothes in our Hamper that I washed a few days after we were settled in. We kept fresh clothes aside for tomorrow morning but the rest got packed away and loaded in the trunk of the car along with other things we won’t need.

Our room looks slightly bare this evening but we can’t wait to get back in our Home tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
