Lots Of Rain, Supper With A Dear Friend and Meeting Other Coworkers.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

It truly is a good thing that the dining room where they serve the Continental Breakfast here at the Hotel is open and extra hour on the weekends because it was nearly 9:00 this morning when we woke up. Even before I opened the Window Curtains Kathy was telling me she was certain that she had heard it raining last night. Looking outside the sky was filled with clouds the cars and pavement were dripping wet with water.
This picture was taken days ago but resembled today's sky.
When we arrived here on Monday to settle in we realized just how inconvenient drinking from disposable cups really was. So before towing the trailer to Leisure Trailers for all the Warranty Work on Tuesday I expropriated two of our Ceramic Coffee Mugs from our Cupboard. When we walked into have breakfast this morning several people asked where we got them at. They must have thought I was being a smart aleck when I responded Arizona.

Back at our room the first thing I did was to dial the phone and stick it near Kathy’s ear. We had a voice message waiting for us yesterday from our friend Pauline. Kathy called her back last night and played Phone Tag by also leaving a message. She wasn’t about to make another call but when Pauline’s voice answered the phone she was glad she did. By the end of the conversation arrangements had been made to get together for supper.

We spent the rest of the day just reading and playing puzzles along with watching the Rain occasionally washing the pavement. It was just after 4:30 when we headed out the door to drive over to the Hi-Ho (the former Michigan Diner) on Howard Avenue to meet Pauline for supper. We were only there about five minutes when she arrived. The conversation never stopped the entire time we were eating and long after as we sat there. Pauline insisted it was her treat as we paid the last time so Thank You very much for supper Pauline.

Before we could leave Linda and Terry our former neighbours on third street came in and stopped to say Hello.  Terry and I used to work together in the old Ford Foundry before it was torn down. As I left their table I said Hello to Carlos who I also worked with before the Aluminium Plant was closed. I got a few feet closer to the door when Randy waved from across the room. A small world.

Since we weren’t totally caught up we invited Pauline to follow us back to our Hotel room where we still had more to talk about. It was past 8:00 when Pauline said she had to stop at Walmart before heading home.

Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be clear making it a busier day for me. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
