Getting Interviewed, Errands, Dining Out and Plans Written In Jell-O.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

With no problems sleeping last night we were both awake around 8:00 this morning. We didn’t have too much time to spend at home this morning because we had plans. Yesterday we had discussed going to Art in the Park in Windsor an event that has taken place since 1978. It is a gathering of Artesians and Crafters that come together to sell their Homemade Wares or Services from the local area as well as some from near the Toronto area.

Last evening our grandson Tyler called and asked if he could interview me for a school project. I was happy to help him out so we made arrangements to meet at 11:00 this morning at his parent’s home in Tecumseh. We were out the door heading for Windsor by 9:30 with a few other stops to make along the way we figured we’d still make it to the Art in the Park.

Our first stop was Guardian Storage where after collecting our Mail we stopped at our Climate Controlled Storage Unit to drop the clothes off that Kathy had removed from our closet earlier this week.

Our next stop was at Motor City Credit Union where we had a cheque to deposit and Kathy needed them to help her with a problem she’s been having with our Online Banking. The teller was patient explaining everything and even created a shortcut within our account to make things easier for Kathy.

We arrived exactly at 11:00 where we found our daughter Karen working in her flower garden. Inside Tyler had just gotten up because he had worked the Midnight Shift at McDonalds. Since he is considering a trade as an Electrician the school wants the students to interview someone other then an immediate family member that they consider a good role model. Using a scripted questionnaire made up by the teacher they collect their information. It would have been easy to give single word answers but I was very explanatory making certain he understood what I meant. Tyler even started asking questions that weren’t even on the questionnaire. Now he gets to compose his information in the form of an essay to be present before his class. He Thanked me for answering his questions and I Thanked him for considering to asking me. He may be fifteen but we still give one another a hug.

After a brief visit with Karen we headed off to have a late lunch at Dairy Queen. We each had their $6.00 Chicken Wrap Special and the best part that included a Sundae for dessert. We still had to make a few more stops before going to the Art in the Park
Kathy waiting for me to go in to talk with Stephanie.
We drove out to Leisure Trailer in Lakeshore where we talked to Stephanie about when we were getting the Slide fixed on our Trailer. After nearly two months they still don’t have all the parts from Jayco because they are on Backorder. She’ll be calling them on Monday to see when the parts will arrive and then we can schedule this repair.

Our next stop was at Princess Auto in Windsor where Kathy walked around the Surplus Section while I got the prices for the Aluminium Angle Material. I’ll pick that up when it goes On Sale so that I can produce the brackets for the additional Solar Panels we’ll add to our roof when we return to the Southwest this fall. I also took the time to look for adapter plugs for Turning Lamps for the trailer with no luck.

We found our way to Dollarama where they had restocked things we looked at last week but things that we wanted to add to our stockpile were now out of stock.

We drove over to Walmart where we struggled to find things we needed.

As we were leaving there I realized that I needed a plumbing fitting so that I can finish piping our Waste Barrel so we drove down to Home Depot. Kathy looked around the plants while I searched in vain for that fitting.

It was now past 3:00 which would leave us less then an hour to go through Art in the Park so we decided to do more errands. We headed over to the Zehrs grocery store where the only thing we couldn’t find was the Hot Apple Cider drink mix we enjoy. While I put our groceries in the car Kathy went next door to the Bulk Barn. Even there the best we could do was to find a Cinnamon Apple Spice tea blend by Celestial Seasonings so we’ll give it a try.

It was already past 4:30 so we headed over to Swiss Chalet on Manning Road for supper. We had the third of a rack of Spare Ribs this time as we found the half rack too filling the last time we were there. Like the last time we could cut it off the bone just with our forks and it tasted delicious.

It was nearly 6:00 when we were finally heading towards Home but we still had another stop to make. It had been some time since we added gas to the car so we stopped at the Pioneer gas station on Manning Road
Farmers Wheat fields are all growing nicely in the area.
The reason is all the rain we have been having.
Notice the clouds in the distance.
Back at Home it was nearly 7:30 after a very long day and by the time we had everything put away and we didn’t get to Art in the Park. Isn’t that’s why RVers write their plans in Jell-O. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
