Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
You can really tell that
someone is not feeling well. When they sleep most of their day away and still
manage to sleep soundly beyond their normal wake up time. That happened to the
both of us last night which had its good points and a drawback. It takes Kathy longer
to recover from ailments then it takes me so she was still recovering from the
symptoms she had last week. I woke feeling better but still having some pressure
but it should clear with time.
The bad part about sleeping
until nearly 9:00 this morning was that we had an appointment this afternoon
and we had plenty of things we needed to get done first. After having a light
breakfast, doing our normal morning reading and chores we then had to have an
early lunch. Eating twice in two and a half hours is something from the days we
were still working but by once again keeping it light we survived.
We were out the door by
12:00 and headed to the West-End of Windsor
hoping to make our appointment on time. There has been so much construction that
we never realized took place in the last few years, plus all the construction
that is presently taking place it was a guessing game of which route to take. As
we started getting tied up in a traffic delay on Walker Road a quick turn onto Highway 3 seemed like the answer. Within fifteen minutes we
arrived at our destination.
We were meeting our
financial adviser Mark who over time has become a friend who has shared the
joys of his growing family with us. He even admits using us (without saying our
names) as an example to other clients who don’t know if they would be able to
afford to travel in their RVs. He
also has asked us about advice on RVing
with his family so that they could get closer to nature. Even though he is far
from the age of retirement he is also using us as an example for when his day does
arrive. Kathy always gets a hug and I a handshake when we leave.
We headed back to Huron Church
Road and stopped at Bogar’s Truck
Parts and Service. We purchased some Marker Signal Lights at a Luv’s Truck Stop that
I will install on the sides of our trailer. When they were removed from their
packages the other day I was surprised to see they required a special plug in
socket on the rear. When I looked at Princess Auto on
Saturday and they didn’t have it I knew I’d find them here. They carry hundreds
of different plugs and they are reasonably priced.
We then drove to the Payless Shoe
Store on Dougal Avenue where Kathy was looking for comfortable Slip On Shoes. She found a pair immediately
and is very happy with them.
Driving over to the West-End Walmart
we found the replacement Trash Container
we were looking for as well as few other things.
It was only 3:30 but with
having eaten two light meals for the day we decided to stop at Taco Bell for supper. The value meals were more then enough
to satisfy our cravings and we were soon heading towards McGregor.
We were almost out of the Windsor
city limits when Kathy suggested looking at the Windsor Crossing Outlet Mall.
Around a few more corners and we were there. The reason for checking it out was
because when the decision was made by our Canadian Federal Government
to expand the highway many of the stores at that location were removed.
After driving around in the parking lot to see the changes we stopped at a
store that was never there before, the Dollarama. We walked the aisles and found they
had some of the things we couldn’t find at other locations and other things we
found they didn’t. The good thing about shopping there is it doesn’t break the
bank.
Back Home we had everything put away
with time to spare before the 6 o’clock
News started. It wouldn’t be until the Blog
was being written that it was realized we hadn’t taken our evening medication.
That would not have been good for Kathy. Who
says Blogging isn’t good for your health? Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
