Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
Around 5:00 this morning
our peaceful sleep was interrupted by the drum like sound of rain on our roof. After
only a few brief moments the sound of silence returned and so did our sleep. That
was enough of an interruption in our sleep to make us sleep past 8:30 this
morning which was not what we wanted.
Breakfast went well with
the discussion of where we intended to plant the flowers given to us by our son
Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa on Monday. With the high temperatures that we’ve
been experiencing the last few days my constant watering of the plants was all
that was keeping them alive.
Since we were expecting a
visit from Mary this morning there was additional packing required before her
arrival as well as other inside choirs. I was outside moving things around so
that I could plant our gifted flowers where they would have a better chance of
survival.
It was at that time our
neighbour Ted whose wife Eileen had suffered a Stroke the other day pulled up in his driveway. As soon as he saw
me he began to weep. Eileen passed away around 7:00 this morning at Henry Ford
Hospital in Detroit from bleeding on the brain. They had spoken
about this moment long ago and neither of them wanted a funeral. Even with that
he still has lots to take care of in the next few days. I’ll continue watching
over their trailer until he returns some time next week. We'll still keep them both in our prayers.
Once I had gotten the
flowers planted and cleaned up the patio I was just about to move the truck
when Mary from Healthy
Heals showed up. Since Kathy has Diabetes and has problems with her feet
Mary comes to our Home and treats Kathy’s problems and it is
covered by our Health Care Provider.
As soon as Mary had left we had a late lunch.
As soon as we’d eaten I made
a phone call to speak with Stephanie at Leisure Trailer but
could only leave a voice message. It took nearly an hour for her to return my
call because she had called Jayco to
find out what the delay was on our parts. Jayco assured her they had just shipped the
last part out yesterday and it should be arriving in the next couple of days.
Stephanie explained that coordinating all the repairs at the same time we are
probably looking at the first week in August. It’s a good thing we are not
planning on going anywhere until it is fixed.
Once we knew that
information Kathy said we needed to get some groceries. Since we have been back
in Ontario we thought that our
repairs would be really soon so we’ve been holding back on buying the food we’ve
had in stock. Now knowing when we can expect these repairs tells us we can
stock our freezer a little more.
We headed out to Walmart
in Amherstburg.
We not only stocked our freezer but our pantry and we picked up our supper from
the Deli
Section of the store.
This evening I placed an
order online with Amazon and made certain that the Shipping Address was correct before hitting the final Submit button. Printing out the
confirmation Kathy noticed half the address was missing. Try as much as I could
to make the correction On-line it would not take. It took some time to finally
find a Phone Number for Amazon
and when I explained the problem the representative had no problem correcting
it and sending me a new confirmation.
We were quite happy to see
the comments to “Kathy’s Personal View Points
About RVing”. We were even more surprised that there was further mention of
it in other Blogs that didn’t leave
a comment. Every time Kathy talks to somebody about our Lifestyle she does it with such passion that they can tell how much
she loves it and has sparked an interest in our style of traveling amongst Non-RVers.
We hope that the showers we
are currently having will help to bring our temperatures back to a more normal
range. Thanks for
following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
