Normal Chores, A Final Answer and Late News Again.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Even after watching the 11 o’clock News and taking a Tylenol before going to bed we both managed to only sleep for half the night. When we did wake it was only a matter of rolling over before resuming what we try to do on a nightly basis.

Waking to a sun filled sky this morning was encouraging. I thought today I would manage to finish a greater number of things on our To-do List. I’d barely gotten part way through getting things ready for breakfast when Kathy came downstairs. She gently reminded me the laundry hamper was getting full and it was over a week since it was last done. After finishing our morning reading on our Computers, it was time to do my morning chores.

Kathy was already scanning over our maps on the Dinning Table and making notes of other possible locations that we’ll be stopping at while we travel the Southwest at the end of the year. I was in the middle of completing the bed when Steve from Henry’s Camera in Windsor called. He had personally spoken to the manager at their Repair Depot in Toronto and assured them our Sigma 18-200 Lens was under warranty and that we are waiting for it to be repaired. We should have it back before the end of the month. Dealing with a few more unexpected problems I barely had time to sort the laundry while Kathy made a couple Salmon Sandwiches for lunch.

While we were away this past winter there were a lot of improvements done at Wildwood Golf and RV Park. In the Park Laundry Room alone they replaced all the old Washers and Dryers as well as increasing their numbers. That was a good thing because when I arrived there this afternoon there were two other people starting their wash and three people taking clothes from the dryers.

Being limited to only two dryers for three loads of clothes I experimented once the dryers were going by adding extra money. To my pleasure additional time showed up on the display. I figured that by adding extra time on the Dryers it would compensate for the larger loads I’d created.

While that was going I walked back to the trailer with the delicates that couldn’t be put in the dryers. Once they were hung to dry in the shower I headed outside. My goal was to install the new light bulb in the back of the Truck Cab. With that finished I had only minutes to get back before the Laundry would be ready to fold. When the Dryers finished their extended-cycle I was happy to find all the clothes nice and dry.

I was putting the folded clothes away shortly after 4:30 and when I finished that it was time to light our Weber Q to grill supper. There was very little wind outside for a change so that made it easy to cook a couple of Hamburgers while Kathy made a nice Salad for a side.

When it was time to watch the 6 o’clock News that one Cable Channel would not connect so we knew we’d be watching the Late News. Trying other channels we found them all working. We also found a program that we haven’t seen in a while so we watched it for a change of pace. As we were about to shut the television off we checked the Local News Channel only to find it working again. We can only hope the Cable People fix their problem once and for all.

We have places to go tomorrow but I’m still hoping to get other chores scratched off our To-do List. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Really enjoyed the Sedona pictures; on our list of places to visit, maybe this year. So many new and beautiful places to visit and yet so many beautiful places we have seen and love to re-visit. It is a balancing act...:)
