Warmer Temperatures at Last, Reaching 106 and I Can Hear You Now.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

By the looks of the extended forecast on The Weather Network we have just seen the last of our Low Forty Degree night-time temperatures for quite some time.  Kathy slept so soundly that she didn’t even hear the Thunderstorm that rolled through our area at 5:20 this morning. The falling rain sounded nearly as loud as the thunder so I’m glad she slept through it.

We had a very light breakfast this morning having only a Brand Muffin along with our Coffee/Tea. It was just comfortable enough that we didn’t have to run any kind of heat source this morning but it would take until after lunch for the outside temperature to climb above the Sixty Degree mark due to a mostly cloudy sky.

We took our time reading on the Computers and doing our chores. By the time that I remade the bed with less cold weather covers Kathy had already gotten things ready for an early lunch. Today we had Homemade Tacos that were better then the ones we get at most Taco Shops because ours were so packed that we had to eat a lot off our plates with a fork.

After getting things cleaned up we were out the door around 1:00 heading towards Windsor. Our first stop was Guardian Storage to collect our Mail. Carol wished she wasn’t working but outside enjoying herself. That reminds me of the way I felt during my career.

We went to the Motor City Credit Union next to get change to use for doing our Laundry. Stopping at Zehrs grocery store Kathy chose to stay in the car while I went in to get a case of bottled water. It was on sale for $1.88 a case so I got two.

It was now after 2:00 so we drove to the Red Cross Building on Grand Marais where we went to VitalAire to get our CPAP Supplies. Tiara was just putting our orders together as we walked in so it took another five minutes out of our day.

With that finished we walked through the building where Kathy sat down in the lobby while I put our Supplies in the car. I barely had a chance to sit next to Kathy when the doors to The Canadian Blood Services opened for the day. Having done the On-line Survey this morning I had printed out the Verification Form which helped me to be one of the first to Donate Blood today. I also submitted the forms that I received when I donated blood in New Mexico and Arizona to receive credit for them as well. Counting today’s Blood Donation, I have given Blood 106 Times which is not bad considering I was a late starter.

Kathy had brought along one of the Gift Cards that we had received so we headed over to East Side Mario’s where we both had a Chicken Tetrazzini which was very satisfying.

When we were finished eating our meal we went to the Tecumseh Mall to walk a bit of our meal off. While we were there we looked at what the different Cell Phones Providers had in stock. My Cell Phone is over six years old and I’ve always had issues with it but with my developing Raynaud’s Disease it has become nearly impossible to operate the touch screen.  When we were in Parker, Arizona this past winter we got two LG TracFones for both myself and Kathy that I never had an issue with. Stopping at the Bell Outlet in the mall we walked out with a new LG4 Cell Phone that I had no problem operating. Now I can actually operate my Cell Phone with no problems.

It was nearly 7:00 by the time we got Home. We had luckily opened our roof vents before leaving this afternoon because the inside temperature was now at 86 F (29 C). We were scrambling to open windows to cool down the trailer. We won’t complain about this short heat spell after all the cold days we have been getting lately. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Since we didn't take any
pictures today we thought
that you would like to see
what attracts us to the
Southwest.

He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke.

  1. Congrats on your 106th donation, you should be very proud of yourself! I didn't realize you could get credit for donations made in the state. I am up to 51 donations 😊

  2. I am enjoying visiting stores and noticing the difference in prices. So far we're getting some good bargains here in Canada with the exchange rate.
